Anyone like Louis CK? Thomas Eversole? I think this SNL monologue is hilarious and genius. He doesn't swear but talks about some intense topics so viewer discretion advised.

YES. I love Louis CK. He's a very funny comedian. I hadn't seen that clip before, and I laughed out loud. Its annoying to me that he's been on the down-low for the past year or so because of those allegations, which he was honest and admitted to. No I'm not justifying what he did - it was wrong. ...but this blacklisting of art when the artist does something, I don't get when people do that. I also don't get the eternal shaming that comes with that either - I mean, we're all sinners - some people just sin different. ______________________ Pluto TV (which is 100% FREE) got some new channels. A Comedy Central Stand Up Channel is one of them. Man, it was SURREAL to watch the Comedy Central Roast of Donald Trump. ...especially since that was 9-10 years ago, he talked about running for president then, and the celebs there all wished him well. Now, I think those same celebs have full on, stage 4, TDS.

I watched his stand up special last night "I got questions." (2015) Pretty decent! I didn't pay attention realize he was a Christian comedian until he started talking about God and church in his bit. No profanity in his set of course, but I guess the primary reason it didn't click he was a Christian comedian while I was watching it, was because of how edgy some of his material was. That's not a bad thing at all!! I love this dude, he´s just insane ^__^ I love Bill Burr. One of the comedy greats.... but there's one "inconsistency" between his specials that annoys me a little bit. In his "I'm Sorry You Feel That Way" special, he has a pretty funny bit about old people and racism, where he talks about an old baseball coach in an interview on why they lost a game.... "eh we just need more black guys on the team" and people up in arms that he said that. Bill Burr points out how long the coach was alive before Jackie Robinson broke the color barrier, and other social points compared to his age ala "What did you think they thought?" He defended the guy in a funny way. In his "Walk Your Way Out" special, he pegs Trump as a racist. I kind of felt like a lot of the "what did you think they thought?" should have applied to Trump.... I mean, Trump is over 70 years old. I mean, he was a young adult by the time the Civil Rights Movement worked its way out. I don't think Trump is actually a racist - he's just old and not "hip" to the "woke" vernacular of the young whipper-snappers of today. Besides, a white person disagreeing with someone who's not white is perceived as borderline racism in today's world anyway. I hope.... I mean, really hope, Bill Burr didn't say that JUST to curry favor with the Hollywood Elite.... but I did get that vibe. His rebuttal could very well "Its just jokes" - can't argue with that.... and he's got a ton of great jokes.... ...but that "Trump is a racist" remark just seemed like he was trying to score likes from the woke left. For the record, I'm not a rabid Trump supporter. I didn't even vote for him, but I DO like him. First president I remember was Reagan, and Trump is definitely the first president to proactively troll. Honestly? I think its hilarious. Some of that humor, is from what he says.... the rest, of how bent out of shape some people get about it, reading between the lines.

Oh my word YES - Tom Segura is quite funny! His "Disgraceful" special is my favorite. I laugh every time in that bit where he's talking about Foreign Accent Syndrome and Tourette's.

I watched the "controversial" Dave Chappelle Netflix special the other day. It was very "ehhh." The funnier stuff wasn't controversial; the controversial stuff wasn't particularly funny.
I've never been big into stand-up, but I do like memes. I've been binging Lord of the Rings memes lately.

Big Jay Oakerson is hilarious. I was going to post a video but its extremely explicit so idk. I guess he also does hour-long sessions of just crowd work and the one I watched last night was great. Anyone listen to him? Thomas Eversole?

I watched the Bill Burr special "Paper Tiger". I wasn't thrilled by it, but to be fair, I heard some of the jokes before when he performed them in various smaller contexts on youtube and I was feeling more than averagely depressed while watching so the cards weren't stacked in the special's favor. Also the story about his dog at the end was sad.
Edit: I watched a Big Jay Oakerson special and also didn't love it. Depression strikes again! dun dun dun

Yeah, saw it when it came out. Wasn´t impressed, as you´ve said, saw most jokes somewhere else. Also the new Dave Chappelle special a while back, kinda weak considering some of his classic sketches or other specials. A guy I enjoy watching is Maz Jobrani.. some other nice ones:kills me every time one extra:

I appreciate it. I can't say that I relate to it directly, I don't really know folks that "liberal" around me, but the whole woke concept seems oozing with entitlement to me. Like, if I identified as a horse, and then I blasted the local library for hate/discrimination because they talked to me instead of neighing... that doesn't sound too far off from someone identifying as "another gender", and then think its dead-naming bigotry when someone says "hey guys". Still, I'm glad some comedians are pushing back to this. Dave Chappelle, Bill Burr, Jim Norton, to name a few... So ironic that of all the people enslaved by "proper wording", its the liberals. My job is customer service, and people call me for assistance on whatever. When someone sounds like a woman, I call them "ma'am" until I get their name. If they sound like a guy, I call them "sir" until I get their name. Its never been a big deal, even if I've got it wrong. (I've been called ma'am a few times, which I found HILARIOUS) I am just waiting.... for this to happen at work: me: *hears a woman speaking* me: "Yes ma'am." them: "Did you just assume my gender?" I think I might explode if this happens. Probably a giant rant mixed with giant laughter afterwards.
