I was debating if I should come here or not because I know the hate that some of you have towards me. Reading some of the stuff on here confirms that and it gets to me. I'd like to keep this short and peaceful and resolve any issues that some of you have with me. My sincere apologies to anyone I've done wrong. I wanted to contact some of you in the past and sort things out but I didn't do it for fear of the things you would say to me. Nothing worse than knowing someone hates you when you were once brothers in Christ. I feel like I've been cast out the scene and it disappoints me that all this could have been prevented. I'm just here to clear up some stuff and take care of some debts. I don't want this to turn into a Q&A or debate thread. I want to deal with each one of you individually in private. This is the only way I believe it will work out. I don't have any hatred towards any of you who have issues with me. I pray we can work everything out as men of God and that I may be forgiven.

Hi Mike, welcome to our forum. Thanks for seeking to remedy past issues. First off, I do not think anyone here "hates" you by any means. Honestly, I'm a little offended that you'd accuse these folks of such, as I haven't seen any evidence of hatred here. Anger and a lack of trust, yes, but hatred? I don't see it. Regardless, thanks for being willing to work with the folks here and elsewhere to resolve whatever disputes may exist.
While I haven't personally experienced any such problems and nor can I speak for anyone else, I believe the intent of folks here was to help hold our brothers and sisters in Christ accountable to the higher standards He calls us to as Christians. That is very biblical and I stand behind the decision to address what needs to be addressed here. As children of God, we are unified and cleansed through His blood and ultimately are here to glorify Him and grow His kingdom - and part of that is confronting issues within the church body.
What is the best way for people to contact you? If you set up an account here, folks will be able to PM you. Or is there an email address that is best? Thanks again for coming here Mike. I hope and pray that this will all be able to be straightened out and dealt with so that we can all move on and be unified in doing work for God's kingdom together.

I really don't think that the guys on this board are hateful towards you. Unfortunately it just turns out to be a matter of fact that some things that went "wrong" in the past (in the days of UMS) have happened again in the present.
Want to clear up some things? Well, simply contact those that might be waiting for something (I'm not talking about things that happened in 2011 or 2012 or whatever). It's as simple as that.

Hey Mike, thanks for coming here and wanting to put things right. Theres no hate towards you, but there is a lot of disappointment. The fact you neglected to reply to peoples concerns for fear of what they will say, sounds pretty weak and is very upsetting. I think most would agree that there are some basic ways too run a record label, one of the big ones is honest communication. It is not fair to carry on releasing albums while there are bands and orders who have not been fixed up. We cant turn a blind eye to this still going on.
As you fix up all you owe by contacting them yourself, please report back each one so we can confirm that, and you can be transparent and maybe earn back your trust to the scene again.
It saddens me that UMSR closed down because you have great taste with the acts you have released on all your labels too. It is very concerning that some acts are just not being compensated and supporters are not getting orders. Will you go back and fix up your brothers?

I support Drawnsword as well. I felt not only jipped but hurt by things that happened at UMS and therefore my trust just hasn't been there. Like many have already said I don't hate you at all. I do very much DISLIKE the satanic items being sold in a Christian store but that does not mean that I hate you personally. I do think that people will trust you again as they see honest change being made provided that they no longer see the same behavior start repeating itself. For me personally I would almost prefer acquiring your titles from other distro's who have proven trust worthy for me who have taken the chance on you as I just am not ready to take that step myself. The whole fool me once shame on you fool me twice shame on me thing applies here.

Mike, I think we can speak for everyone in saying that we all WANT to trust BMUR/Martyrdom Records. The upset emotions and rants you've seen have to do with broken promises, and that hurts more coming from one of our own. We're all human though and I've certainly broken promises in my life.
Sorry Mike, I've always been a "squeaky wheel gets the grease" kind of guy.
I would like nothing better than to forgive and forget, but I think you and all of us realize, to get there, amends have to be made.
I want to thank you for facing your fears and coming here. ...and like Kerrick already stated, we certainly don't hate you.

...nevertheless in front of the fact that it's the same "pattern" that can be seen again, I hope you comprehend that's it not that easy to trust again, Mike.
While I'm impressed quite regularly that people in the Christian scene try to keep things on a very friendly level compared to the "secular" scene (ever read through comments to the rip offs related to Blake from Nachtmystium?), when the same things happen AGAIN, there really should be some transparency (like Drawnsword said) apart from some nice words.

Agreed. ...and you can see how people react to Blake from Nachtmystium on this thread. nwnprod.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=36038&start=0&postdays=0&postorder=asc&highlight=The Christ element we have certainly makes a HUGE difference in how we interact. On that note, what Blake from Nachtmystium did was dishonest/crazy, but not surprising. A drug habit makes people do things like this.
