"I believe depression is legitimate. But I also believe that if you don't; exercise, eat nutritious food, get sunlight, get enough sleep, consume positive material, surround yourself with support, then you aren't giving yourself a fighting chance." - Jim Carrey

"There are few things more liberating in this life than having your worst fear realized." - Conan O'Brien This whole Dartmouth commencement speech was great. The last few moments were insightful, especially as it was based on his own experience with failure, and well-written.

What a man does for pay is of little significance. I've noticed a trend with some people I know (and have known) that "I am my career". Well that's fine and dandy until retirement... then, who are you? : /

Well that's fine and dandy until retirement... then, who are you? : / Sure one has to look forward and plan accordingly, but what I see is people denying themselves many years of experiences and basically denying life itself just to be "safe" in retirement. There needs to be a balance, because once you get retired at 65-67(at least for now in GER) one doesn't have much time to do anything.

“My life, my life, now I speak of it as of something over, now as of a joke which still goes on, and it is neither, for at the same time it is over and it goes on, and is there any tense for that? "In this sea of delusion, man seeks to make himself big, but forgets the God that reminds him how very small he is. We are but dust in the wind, temporary and thinning, aging and deceased. Deceased, deceased. I pray God keep my soul, because I'm stray. I hate everything but God is my hope to see the light." - "Hope to See the Light" by Ithiel
