Would it be alright if it remained untitled. Open 1 Chronicles, find a name that nobody's used yet, use it!

LOL I did not realize this off the top of my head, but when I looked at 1st Chronicles, 90% of the whole book is a list of obscure names.

I've got the music on my track about 75% done. I'll rest for the remainder of the day, but I'm off work tomorrow and I'll finish the music then.
I'm staying on top of the variety. I actually didn't mean to lay out a really SICK grind riff in the track, but it just shows up for about 30 seconds halfway through the song. I know Orationem is black metal, and the newer Orationem tries not to be "mostly tremolo" on behalf of variety, but even though this spleen-macerating-grind section is just a little bit out of place (not a lot, just a little) - I like it too much to take it out.
LOL
EDIT: Come to think of it, I seem to remember the opening rift to "Burden of Corrupt Attitudes" being super grindy in production, but once I ran it through the raw-black-production-gauntlet *cough*reverb*cough*, no matter what I play still sounded quite "black". XD

I finished the guitars for my track first thing this morning. I'll mix, add some royalty-free horror sounds, write the lyrics later. ....and record the vocals next week.

Okay let's just go with Xagehnruh. I've tried recording my song again but still am not happy with the result so I'll be trying again on sunday.

Progress fornmy track is underway, but I could REALLY use some sort of ballpark timeframe we’re working with. I’ve got several co-conspirators I am trying to coordinate with, and “more time” is definitely better!

Is 1 month from now for a submission date good for you bros? This is plenty of time for me, I'm sure. Please let me know if you'll need more time. (though I think some of you are already working on your tracks?) So, 1 month from that date would be February 25th. If you, or anyone else, needs more time, I'm definitely cool with that. I do have an opinion on a "hard stop" time for compilation submissions - March 25th. (2 months from the "artists are locked in" date) ...but I welcome anyone to debate me for that if necessary. My thinking, if one 7 minute (or less) track can't be finished by an artist in 2 full months.... I don't think its meant to happen.

The lyrics for my track are written.
Unless life has other ideas, I'll be doing some mixing today, recording vocals tomorrow, extras, mastering, etc. track done Friday.

You’ve heard bits of mine.....now, i’m off work, mid week service at church is canceled tonight, I have tomorrow off, and as soon as I get back from this wal-mart run I have to make, I will be parking myself at my recording desk until I at least have all the rhythm and harmony guitars laid down and to my liking, (or fatigue sets in too far since my nominal bedtime is ussully 7:30PM these days..... one of my shopping trip items WILL BE a Red Bull or two....LOL!)

Unless life has other ideas, I'll be doing some mixing today, recording vocals tomorrow, extras, mastering, etc. track done Friday. Mixing done yesterday. Got the vocals recorded this morning. Man, I'm really liking this track.... I MIGHT actually try to finish this track TODAY. Just mixing the vocals, mastering, and adding royalty-free effects is all that's left to do. Got Valentine's Day shenanigans planned, so I'll be working around that, but I should still be able to make the time. Pretty easy to MAKE the time when I'm driven - which I am, since this track has turned out well! I know the lyrics are a pretty important part of the Orationem project - at least to me. If anyone is interested in the lyrics for this track - here they are: Jesus Christ Son of God, and Lord of man Please save me from the fires of hell
Come into my life I accept You as my savior I will follow You and Your teachings to the best of my ability As long as I am alive
Please use Your blood to purge my sins I wish be in paradise I wish to be in the presence of The Almighty Holy God One day...
Jesus Christ Son of God, and Lord of man Please save us from the fires of hell
Come into our lives We accept You as our savior We will follow You and Your teachings to the best of our ability As long as we're alive
Please use your blood to purge our sins We wish be in paradise We wish to be in the presence of The Almighty Holy God One day...

I didn’t even get back from the freaking Walmart run last night until 6PM last night, and after eating, my body literally just shut down on me.
STILL running around on today’s Walmart trip/family obligations, won’t be done with THAT till 3:30 at the minimum. Beginning to feel like I’m gonna lose two whole days 🤦♂️

But I’m looking at more like 2-3 hours rather than the 8 I was hoping to get in......

My track is completed. Sounds great I think! Its been stuck in my head because I've been listening to it most of the day. Getting royalty-free effects was an adventure as always - all because of the terms and conditions of where I get it. There's so much on YouTube listed as royalty-free, but people want "credit" for it. It takes a while digging to find the "Use it paid or unpaid, don't ask me if you can use it" type stuff. Orationem - "Salvation" clocks in at 6m 52s. Here is a sample of the finished track. (1m 16s) orationem.com/salvation_sample.mp3Some effects in that sample/song, are a nod to another thread here... Sorry gents - not going to post the full track. I want that "reveal" with the release of the compilation. One exception, there is a person who's made multiple generous donations to Orationem this year. They will be emailed this track Friday morning after I wake up. ...since I did promise to send my next track to them when it was done.

Your Orationem music always has this "atmosphere" to it, without much (if any?) use of keyboards. It's not the "oppressive, brooding" atmosphere typically associated with black metal. I've heard very little music that has this, exact, sound. I don't know how you achieve it, but it's always interesting! I like it!

"Your Presence and Strength" in 2016 was the last time that I have used "keys" for Orationem. The atmosphere is guitars and software algorithms for their recordings. I think the royalty-free effects approach since 2017 might give the illusion that something else is going on besides "just guitars" - but really, those are little more than strategically placed sounds. (not music) I think as far as the unique melodies (and Orationem is quite melodic) is probably a lot to do with the custom tuning I have on my guitar.

I’m just gonna put it out there that in all likelihood I will need AT LEAST the March 25 date, possibly a touch longer dependent on how all my moving parts coordinate. Demo version is completed and copies sent off to my various co-conspirators.....BUT 2/3 ofmy main help is also involved in another project currently in the writing/recording/production phase, needing to do the recording of their parts concurrent with their studio situation.....and the other guy plays out 3-4 times a week, sometimes 6-8 hours from home (this last weekend, he was in Nashville, and he lives in Columbia, MO) Got 4 guys (including myself) in 3 different states with VERY busy lives piecing this puzzle together, and it is STUPIDLY important to me that THIS lineup goes on THIS track. It’s what was originally written for Vol 2 in Oct 2017 that I lost in a hard drive crash......then never restarted even tho I’d enlisted these guys to help back then, because I was stuck swimming around in the bottom of a liquor bottle for another year and a half. In a way, finishing this up is another nail in the coffin for that segment of my life. I may be the last guy to actually get the song “done” (again....) but if you heard the difference between “my” recordomg for last year’s guitars and bass parts and how the final product ended up, the extra time will be completely worth it.

I gave Duane a heads up about this bro. He says its all good, and asked to be kept in the loop. I hope those bros can follow through for you.

I am looking forward to this. I think I have done a better job on the production of this track than any other Sentinel Mysterium track. It has a bit of melodic death/doom atmosphere while still being firmly rooted in the typical style of black metal as past releases.

1) Have we decided on a deadline? 2) When we are finished, how should we submit the songs?
Asking for myself, but also asking for a friend

I have a Through the Thorns song recently released on The Shrouded Winter that is from back in 2012 with Armath Sargon. But if everyone is fine with it I want to add it to the line up instead of the Dolenaer song.
I am only looking for someone to remaster it. So it is still unique to the release. (read: to fumble away the high end peaks) I am willing to pay for it.
