Praying for your Gramdma, NI. Praying for peace in an uncertain situation and praying for wisdom for the doctors and nurses to diagnose and treat safely and efficiently.

I hope your grandma will be ok! nocturnaliridescenceThis last bout of ice we had, my mom fell outside. My dad drove home and saw her, but just went inside... I guess he just thought she was just hanging out on the ground outside in icy weather? HAHAHA!!! He probably figured my mom was tough as nails and could handle it, which she is. She's the only 60 year old woman I know that can just put 95lbs on the flat bench and rep out 10 with a closed grip like its nothing. (I guess that's where I get my chest strength from. HAHA!!)

Sometimes I take 5, 10, 15 minutes and think about which emotions I am experiencing over the day or so and I write them down. I think it conduces to good psychosocial health, for me. Anyways, this morning it was pretty evident that I am feeling very negatively towards close friends and family. Please pray about my anger and bitterness. I'm still trying to figure out what to expect from those that claim to care for me.

... That's a pretty interesting idea, warbound. I might have to try that. And I'll be praying, man.

Anyways, this morning it was pretty evident that I am feeling very negatively towards close friends and family. Please pray about my anger and bitterness. I'm still trying to figure out what to expect from those that claim to care for me. I've been in the habit of doing a "personal inventory" ever since I applied "the 12 steps" in my life. (Included with the personal inventory is an emotional inventory) I'd like to think I was thorough, but there's only so much I can do myself. That's where I need another person or two to help gauge where I'm at... afterall, its hard to gauge insanity with insanity. I'll be praying bro, that like me, you can "let go and let God". I've figured out that me harboring resentment is living in the past. (defining resentment as still being angry at something that's "already done") Its an effort to stay in today, every day and thank God, I'm resentment free... ...as far as I know.

My grandmother is going to the hospital again. Prayers would be appreciated.
You guys should probably just expect a lot of these posts in the near future, she's old and not in very good health.

Please pray for those struggling with suicidal thoughts/behaviors/etc. It is a worldwide and terrible problem (75% of global suicides occur in low- and middle-income countries); it is the second leading cause of death among 15-29 year olds in the world. It is the tenth leading cause of death across all ages in the US; there are 113 suicides each day, or one every 13 minutes, in the US; an estimated 1.3 million adults in the US (0.6%) attempt suicide yearly.
These are people created by God in His image for a specific and beautiful purpose. They are so very loved by Jesus. Please pray for them and the people in their lives with whom they interact.

My grandmother is back home, seems like she's gonna be okay, thanks guys!
And definitely praying, warbound. I've been suicidal before. I know how terrible it feels, but also how great it is to keep living. Life changes, but that's not always a bad thing - my life changed so insanely drastically between 2012-2013, and the year following that, more than I ever could have imagined, and I am so glad I lived to see it. Definitely, let's pray that others will see that, too. And as you said, for other people in their lives as well.

Definitely. Makes me wonder how many of those are related to addiction. One of my past attempts was an intentional overdose that put me in the hospital. Another, a correctional officer saved my life when I was hanging from my pants in a cell. ...both were definitely addiction related for me and I wasn't thinking clearly. Thank God I survived and when I sobered up, I never again had a suicidal though, nor have I been back to jail! HAHA!!

Exo, how's your buddy Chris doing?
Also, please pray for my wife. She went to prompt care today and she *might* have pink eye. Her symptoms were mild, but enough was there to warrant the nurse practitioner to prescribe antibiotic eye drops. Of course, if it is pink eye, I will probably also have pink eye, so... please prayers, please.

He's got some minor brain damage/memory issues (although he's still sharp as a tack as far as "smarts" go), and has been moved to a rehab facility because he has to relearn how to walk, partly due to the medically induced coma he had to go into. He's got a long road, and there's no guarantee exactly how much mobility he will regain, but he's got a relatively intense PT regimen he is attacking full throttle. He is DAMN lucky to have pulled thru to this point.......but he's in relatively good spirits all things considered.

^Yes. I cannot even comprehend that number in that context...
So our current living situation has been getting less and less ideal as time goes by. Last week there was an issue with the septic tank which in itself, wouldn't be too big of an issue but it was how our landlord handled it that wasn't so great IMO. That was the last straw after numerous issues we've had with him so we have decided to move. It is EXTREMELY difficult to find good rentals in Santa Cruz and as we've learned with this current situation, finding a good landlord who we can trust is not so simple either. However, God answered our prayers and we've found a new place to live! The landlords are Christian and come recommended from people we know. They seem awesome. We'll be signing the lease any day now! Praise God!
(Though we would ask for prayers because I'll be giving our current landlord our month's notice this evening which I am really not looking forward to. This upcoming month may be awkward and potentially really unpleasant.)

Please keep us informed!

Pray for all those who have turned away from the light. For those who linger in darkness and worship nothingness. Pray for God's light to shine upon them.

It went really well last night. I was pretty nervous but everything went just fine. Now we get to just be excited for our new place. And maybe someday we'll be able to afford purchasing our own home and no longer rent.

That would be awesome bro. So happy for you and Veronika. I've lived in places before where "home" felt more like a place to sleep than a place I'd want to live... I hope the new place feels like a castle to you!
Rent isn't all that bad. If you've got a good landlord that will fix things that need fixed, that's one perk homeowners don't have. (ie: something needs fixed at my house, I've got to figure out myself how to fix it)
