I’ll first share scripture from Revelation 20:11-15...
Then I saw a great white throne and Him who sat on it, from whose face the earth and the heaven fled away. And there was found no place for them. And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books. The sea gave up the dead who were in it, and Death and Hades delivered up the dead who were in them. And they were judged, each one according to his works. Then Death and Hades were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And anyone not found written in the Book of Life was cast into the lake of fire.
Now I’ll tell you what’s been on my mind lately:
We just HAD to reach for that forbidden fruit from the Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil, hadn’t we? We just HAD to try to be like God and know everything, hadn’t we? We just HAD to act on lust and impulse and not obey a simple commandment from God. Hadn’t we? We had NO CLUE just how great a burden we would have to bear—knowing good and evil!
How sick to our stomachs already are we, seeing all the good AND EVIL just in our lives, much less what true history has already shown us...knowing that the longer we live, the more we’ll see? But has anyone else besides me ever contemplated what’s going to happen at the Great White Throne...where JESUS OUR LORD will be seated...judging The Dead, small and great? Because, while we live our lives simultaneous with every one else alive, The Dead will be judged ONE...BY...ONE.
I can barely imagine just how very, VERY much time that will take.
And during that time, EVERYTHING that everyone among The Dead has done will be revealed.
EVERYTHING!
If you think you’re sick of all this knowledge of good and evil already, better be prepared to get a whole lot sicker for a whole lot longer!
It makes ME sick, just thinking about this.
I could go on and on, but maybe I’ve made enough point here.
