I'm between shows right now and that's dangerous territory... I might end up gaming.
If anyone has a moment, please recommend TV show(s) based on my tastes below with a brief (spoiler-free) explanation for the suggestion (i.e. what genre, characters/themes that stand out, etc.)
My favorite shows as an example of my taste:
Drama/Suspense: Breaking Bad (favorite), House MD, Dexter (first 4 seasons), HBO's Rome, The Path (Hulu), True Detective (season 1) Action: Arrow (first 2 seasons), Gotham (first 2 seasons) Sci-fi/fantasy: Game of Thrones (first 5 seasons), The Expanse, Firefly, Angel (Buffy spin-off), Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles Comedy: It's Always Sunny In Philadelphia, Impractical Jokers, The Office (US version), Beavis & Butthead, King of the Hill Anime: Death Note, Shiki, Psycho-Pass (I don't watch much anime and I am VERY picky with it)
I'm also open to good documentaries but I'm not really interested in the Tiger King series that's popular right now.
Thanks in advance!

Hmm maybe check out the Netflix adaptation of Castelvania(Anime), Vikings or The Last Kingdom (not really historically accurate but great series with amazing music), also The umbrella company wasn't bad at all(and I'm really not into fantasy/superhero stuff), I also liked Suits(can't stand stuff like that, but is a fun ride), JoJo's bizarre adventure (very funny) and my all time favourite King of Queens ( if you haven't watched it then be sure to catch up)

I've actually already watched Umbrella Academy and really liked it (and I am not usually into that genre either... early-season Arrow and Gotham are exceptions because of fantastic writing/plot). The Castlevania anime is a fantastic idea! I will look into that. I never played the games much but I was definitely aware of the franchise as I have always been a gamer and the dark themes are (obviously) something I enjoy. I'll have to check out a teaser/trailer for Suits and JoJo's bizarre adventure as I am completely unfamiliar. I've watched some King of Queens only very casually flipping channels but a prime time sitcom is not a bad idea. Might break up the monotony of the darker, serious shows I've been watching lately. Thanks again!!

Thanks again!! No problemo. I hope you´ll enjoy them the 1st session of Castelvania is really cool, totaly different approach to Dracula (I´ve also never played the games but the anime was high quality). Yeah I think it´s important to break up the "darkness" from time to time, to keep a sane mind, I also enjoyed the "Hip hop evolution(docu)" on Netflix goes really deep on the history on Hip hop.

If you don't mind A LOT of cursing, Black Lagoon is the best anime I've ever watched. It's closer to a Tarantino movie than an actual miniseries.
