Dark Endless - Night Whispers Blood A lot of people complain about the drums on this EP, but I'm fine with them. I think Shannon is a great drummer. Another major influence to my drumming techniques.

I was referring more to the production, not really the composition. Some people claim that it sounds like a trash can lid, but I like the lo-fi sound, or as you like to say, "unproduction".

Ah dude, I love unproduction though. Can't have dark and mysterious black metal when its shiny enough to see through.

A hill to die upon - satan your kingdom must come down Hmm ... I didn't know there was a black metal version of that song. I'm gonna have to look that up, I love MANY versions of it with my favorite probably being Spectral Light and Moonshine Firefly Snakeoil Jamboree's version.

Was listening to Wovenhand - The Laughing Stalk on my way to work this morning. I can't wait to see them again a month from today! [airguitar]

^Mmm that's a good one! I like it more than their full-length (though that's still good too). It's also quite rare; 50 copies I believe. Do you have the four-song version? I think it was also released with just the title track but I'm not sure.

I have the EP released by E.E.E. Recordings with this tracklist: 1. Sanguinus Nocturnus 2. The Tongues of Serpents Sliced 3. Non Draco Sit Mihi Dux 4. Sunt Mala Quae Libas, Ipse Venena Bibas (It is very possible that I misspelled tracks three and four. )

GRIM - Necrosis
Thomas, this is one of my favorite songs that you've ever written. There's a melody that you start using about 30 seconds into the song that also appears later in the song that is super awesome.

Thanks! Surprisingly, I still remember how to play a decent amount of stuff from that album. It's crossed my mind to do a Scepter of Blood 2.0 with my current abilities... but I have a feeling it would be like Vespers. (The number of people who buy it is a lot less than the number of people who want it.)

I guess I'll be public with this announcement. Drums for the next Orationem are done. I'll plan on starting on the guitars when snow is on the ground.
(Snowing with snow on the ground outside is an unparalleled inspiration to creating black metal, in my opinion)

That is awesome! I didn't know you were already working on the next release (or that you even planned for there to be a second one)!

^How is it? I hope it's as good as Maktesløs was.
Neverdead - Frost
Cool band. I bought a promo EP of theirs from Archduke. Interesting mix of several metal genres with roots in black and death.

I love Agonal. They're one of my most-listened to bands lately. I'm stoked for their new album that's in the works too!
Now playing: Vaakevandring - Fall Of Man [guitarpro]

Mgla - Exercises in Futility. In a little bit I'll be listening to Crimson Moonlight to commemorate tonight's eclipse, but until then I HIGHLY recognize you give this album a listen:
