I was just making my way to leave this forum, for multiple reasons, by deleting my account. But someone dear to me in my life thaught me that people deserve to know how you feel and/or think about things. Not to be a negative person but that people may listen to it and do something with it. If they choose to. Positive feedback.
The main reason why I leave is because of lack of interest in the genre. Many of the christian black metal sounds too sophisticated and copied and lacks originality. Not meant personal at all just the way it feels for me. Besides that. Many christian (black) metal is too dark for me. I don't want to see skulls and ripped bodies the day through. Neither do I want to hear 80% about slaying demons or burning in hell. And the second reason is. I feel the people who listen the genre are too divided. I mainly hear disagreement about bands, sound and music. Complaining about quanities, qualities and the people who make it. Too much sales, too few sales. Too less digital music too much physical music. Etc. Etc. Even now there is an official accusation against brothers within the scene. I am sorry. Paul would have raged with anger 2000 years ago.
One thing counts for me and that is glory of our King Jesus. And if I am honest with myself I can't find it here. If you truly love the music. You listen to it, make it, release it and buy it. You support each other and be honest to each other. No matter what others say, do or think.
Truth is. There are some very loyal and great people within this genre. And I have made undoubtly many mistakes but for now I won't be here. Thanks for the good things we shared.

Sad to see you go, ashes. I can't say that I agree with you on all of this, but I wish you the best.

^My sentiments too. I'm bummed to see you go Ashes and hope that maybe some day you'll come back and visit us again!
As for the Christian black metal stereotypes and gimmicks... I am totally with you on that. How many more songs about spiritual warfare or Satan getting cast out of Heaven do we really need? I so much prefer lyrics like those of Grave Declaration, Crimson Moonlight, Throne Of Awful Splendor, Orationem, or Vials Of Wrath.
Any division within the "scene" is tragic indeed, though rarely do any issues ever get worked out without a little confrontation. The situation you're referencing is, I believe, not just a rant or spouting of frustration... but rather trying to get to the bottom of why these issues exist - which is the first necessary step in finding a solution.
Regardless, I'm sad to see you go but can't blame you. I wish you well!

Sorry to see you go Ashes13. You're more than welcome to come back at any time and create another account or post as a guest.
I wish you would have shared your concerns before deciding to delete your account, but at least you did share your views.
Disagreements happen in all cultures, all genres, all forms of all things encountered or participated in life. Everyone has an opinion, and as long as people are talking, there will be disagreements!
While Christian black metal as a scene has its areas needing improvement, its actually doing very well in terms of interacting with each other, here and elsewhere.
This forum has been here for 5 months and 4 days - I have not had to moderate any posts (other than moving them to a better area), I have not seen any instances of name calling, disrespect or "trolling". Considering we're young (and young at heart) men (no women?) on a site dedicated to media entertainment (music), we're doing extremely well behavior wise.
In retrospect, even browsing secular metal/rock forums, (as well as some Christian ones) I see members attack each other like animals. I can't even go to a mobile game forum or PS3 forum without a horde of trolls telling each other to "git gud scrub".
Regarding accusations, if they need to be made, they should. (I'm guessing this has to do with me vs. Nordic Mission?) Any discrepancies between each other need to be addressed, sometimes to the point of taking legal action for resolution. That's even scriptural. (Matthew 18:15-17)
