I'm looking for a decent Idle game to play when I'm in my casual mood. (between bouts of heavy grinds Ire, which I'm still playing a lot) I played Idle Apocalypse a few days. I really enjoyed it, until I hit a "pay wall". I didn't feel like spinning my wheels for weeks in progressing without paying so.... delete delete delete.

If you like MMOARPG's, I played Lineage 2 on Android for a while and really enjoyed it. You can set autoplay to grind out levels and such. One of the best RPG's on mobile I think. Lots to do. I'm playing Diablo 2 (again lol) on laptop... I'm playing single player this time and I loaded up on the hack programs (since there are no consequences for hacking single player). I'm kind of making my own 'rules' to make the game more fun... i.e. I will summon runes for myself (because they are so hard to find and the main thing that holds you back), but I will not summon actual gear. Should be fun, looking forward to playing around in my little sandbox. You can still play with people with a direct TCP/IP connection if you have a friend. You can make your character ridiculously godly but that doesn't appeal to me, I like a little challenge.

I already got bored of playing god in D2, so now I'm playing Mortal Kombat X on mobile. Lol. It passes the time. I'm in kind of a video game hole AND a TV show hole at the same time. I watched episode 2 of Jack Ryan last night and it seems to be interesting enough so far I guess.

Oh man, I just found a GREAT game. Its called Space Justice. Its like an old school shooter, but the building aspects of a complicated RPG. I haven't hit a paywall.... yet.... but there's a lot of stages, and the multiplayer aspects are awesome. If a stage is too hard - you can bring a friend. My game has been blowing up with "help requests" from people that want to co-op. You can also raid other player's resources. Lots of different currencies and parts required to build with. Pretty cool!

Co-op! XD I'm still really enjoying this Space Justice game - 12 days and counting! It is NOT pay to win - there is no pay-wall. ...because you can GRIND premium currency. (gems) One of the currencies is "likes" (thumbs up symbol) and the shop "sells" gems for likes spent. 20 gems is 88 likes, a shop refresh (which brings the gems option back) costs 50 likes. Repeat for more GEMS. (10 to 20 likes per stage you help someone out. Not bad considering a stage could be 30 seconds to a minute or two) They got special events, (incoming likes doubled is my favorite) but it takes some days to have the necessary ships to participate in the trials. (there's 10 different ships to choose from) All but 1 unlock naturally as you progress through the game. I've got 6 ships right now. They all have different attacks and specials. This game does have a "stamina" engine, but that doesn't limit playing - since joining someone else's co-op mission doesn't cost you anything. The regular story stages are cool, but also the raid system is well done. You can attack other player station defenses, as well as customize your defense platforms and turrets. (what's taken is gold and "energy" which is spent in the tech lab to increase your stats) The cool thing is, when people try to raid you but get killed by one of your defense platforms - there's more gems, stamina and gold you get from their demise. You can also "revenge" and raid all players back that raid you. XD I've found some tricks to prevent being raided much. Even then, its not like its an uphill battle to get your own resources either, even if you're raided all the time. Can't recommend this game enough if you dig a flashy new take on a top scrolling space shooter - with building elements that reward continuous play. :B

Has anyone played Fallout 76? It seems like every week anymore, there's some new controversy / catastrophe surrounding that thing (one might say Bethesda have been dealing with a lot of fallout from it, lol), and I'm just curious if the game itself is as catastrophic as the glitches / poor business decisions / headlines surrounding it.

Haven't played it... last Fallout I played was Fallout 3. I didn't have a desire to continue with the series because the combat system was a little boring. Anthem is getting a lot of flak too... I'm curious if it's going to be dead on arrival on release date tomorrow. It looks awesome in theory (graphics & combat), but people are saying it's a mess right now from a content/logistical standpoint.

I definitely think Anthem looks interesting on the surface, but other than a handful of games (Soulsborne games look interesting for example) I've pretty much given up on mainstream video games. If I wanted microtransactions and gambling I'd just go download Bandcamp and iTunes tracks one-by-one inside of a casino.

Bethesda lost me at Skyrim. Don't get me wrong, its a great game - I've sunk many hours into it, but its sloppy. The game bugs/glitches so much that the PS3 port can't even be finished. ______________________ Ran into a "progress wall" in Space Justice. I'm at stage 69 and can't unlock stage 70 unless I get 3 more stars. So, that means I need to get Sonar to A grade (which is the path I'm taking), get Tomahawk to A grade or luck out and get my hands on an Aurora - to unlock the stages that require those ships. Been grinding this a few days already. Should take a few days more.

Should take a few days more. Nope. Done this morning. There's not much "new content" left to play.... but the replay value for me is much like Ire Blood Memory. ie: you can keep playing the existing stuff to reach the player cap.

Stayed up a little too late last night unlocking the last "campaign" ship and playing the final boss. The only ship I don't have is the super rare one - but I'll get it eventually. The developers for this game are pretty active. Posts on their Facebook are made DAILY. ...and apparently a new update is on its way. Not sure when though... New ship. New stages. Other new stuff.

Well, I've got all the ships but one. Their facebook is talking about a new ship coming out soon. I'll probably unlock Chronos by the time the new ship comes out so I still won't have them all even then. XD Man, I want several of those maxed out. (SS grade, level cap 140) Falcon is my favorite (lvl140 already) but I want to get Lissa, Aurora and Siren capped too. (probably Tomahawk as well) It just takes a while to get the resources needed. I can probably get 100-150 gems per day, just playing. It costs 800 gems to evolve a ship from S to SS.... and 500 gems to evolve from A to S. I'm still enjoying the hell out of this game. So glad I found it.

A lot has happened in this game since I last posted. Chronos is definitely my favorite ship. He doesn't do the massive damage that Lissa does, but part of his S ability is this "sonic net" that has a pretty far and wide reach, and the damage it does to enemies, heals the ship. There's now 2 ships that I don't have - Raven and Predator. I feel like they're a bit "pay to get" since obtaining the cards to craft them are decent "gembait". So strange that the last boss - stage 120 - is quite easier than the 110 and even 100 bosses. Having all those ships S grade (or higher) really helps with trials.

Borndead - Dark Souls 3 I take it? I still haven't played that one - because I don't have that generation of system. (PS4, XboxOne, a PC strong enough, etc.)

So I found this idle/incremental game that's just fantastic. EXTREMELY addicting.
Its called Tower Breaker. ....but the title screen says Tower Breaker: Tower of God
So the story for the game is quite interesting... You play as Satan. (Yep, THE Satan) The opening scene is Satan, as an angel flying in the sky, asking God "Why did you make me?" God says nothing. (literally, that's what it said) Satan is then cast into hell, and Satan has to destroy the 5 towers in hell, to climb back up to God to ask Him again, why he was made...
Certainly I'm not looking at this game's lore as anything other than fiction - no sense in me saying fiction is inaccurate to truth. I'm curious what the "ending" would be like, if there is one. ...but killing all this stuff in hell over and over makes me smirk. One the shields being a Bible is hilarious. (Satan, defending himself in hell, with a Bible - LOLOL)
Its got a 8-bit presentation. ...but there's also some really high end effects too. Vintage! Not just red/firey color scheme either. Tower 1 is like an ornate castle. Tower 2 kind of looks like a garden.
Lots of emphasis on replay. Lots of RNG. Loot feels generous. No offline increase as far as I've seen, but I'm ok with that. Shields and armor are a bit rare, and they have passive abilities. Apart from the tower boss chest, chests from stages will only give weapons, but there's different types of "forging" to make your weapon stronger. Nothing is useless, because even junk picked up can make your weapon stronger.
I wasn't sure about the "combat" at first. I mean, its an idle game so you can't even "move".... but I've grown to like it. PvP is interesting, and also rewarding.
Free Players will find themselves doing a lot of commercials. (2x loot, faster longpress attack for 10 minutes, currencies, weapon chests) After I played this for a day, I bought the "no ads" pack for $6. (no regrets) Now I got all the perks of ads, with no ads. Again, seems generous.
I'm sure the grind will slowly make its way to a snail's pace. Just like any good game, it takes a shorter time to go from weak to strong, than it does going from really strong to really REALLY strong.

Its called Tower Breaker. I was probably on tower 4/5 after a week and a half, but wasn't able to clear the 5th tower until a month of playing. No more story though - hopefully more will be added to the game later. I've essentially got the best gear, but there is still room for more growth. The PvP ranking stops at 3000 and caps at 3600. I'm over 3400 right now.

This is really making me question my faith right now Right now I'm downloading Destiny 2, which is free-to-play now. Hopefully my PC will be powerful enough to play it. I don't have 300 bucks to spend on a graphics card.

Also, if you guys like cellphone games, Buriedbornes is super fun. It's a very challenging roguelike rpg that's good to pick up and play. Also theologically all over the map. I'm pretty sure I've fought Belial and Tiamat multiple times in that game. Occidental Heroes is also a pretty good roguelike.

- I have always been a big Castlevania fan SotN was a classic. It was always the music on the series that grabbed me. I agree. I'm sure you could probably recognize it from the Hguols cover I did. Oh, Thomas you should look up "Bloodstained: Ritual of the Night". Its basically the "spiritual successor" to SotN. Igarashi, the guy who is considered the mastermind of the metroidvania genre left Konami and created Bloodstained which is basically Castlevania under a different name. He made an 8bit Bloodstained called Curse of the Moon, then then SotN successor is Ritual of the Night. I recommend it, its amazing

You mentioned Skyrim in the shoutbox julienbakerfanI've been really enjoying Elder Scrolls Blades. Free to play. Pretty much what I imagined "a mobile Skyrim" would be like. I'm really enjoying it. Currently wearing full Daedric gear.
