I'm pretty fascinated by dreams, probably because I got some pretty bizarre ones... So here's a thread to share the dreams that you have at night! Here's one I had a couple nights ago that was pretty interesting.
I was sleeping in my room but unlike reality, my cottage was out below this big sloping field on the edge of a forest, with the landlords' house up beyond the field. There were six werewolves (who usually looked human when I saw them, though maybe with sharp teeth I think) - three couples each of a man and a woman, with one of the men as their leader. One night while I was asleep they tore out my window that faces towards the creek and made a giant hole where it was. The next night while I was again asleep (haha, apparently I'm a heavy sleeper!) they tore down that whole wall and also the wall to my bedroom, leaving a clear path from my bed to the outside - making me quite vulnerable. The two other couples of werewolves broke in at some point and I fought them. I think I had my shotgun (Remington 870 12-gauge) and a big combat knife. I killed all four of them by stabbing the big knife through their skulls. (I don't remember much of this, but I recall waking up and being surprised just how gruesome it was.) Then the next night, while I was asleep, they tore down my entire house and the next morning I awoke with just me in my bed under the remnants of the frame of the house. That evening the last surviving female werewolf came to me alone. Tired of living a cursed and evil life, she asked me to kill her. I had a tomahawk and used it to grant her wish and thrust the pointed side of the weapon (opposite the ax-end) into her skull, but as she was dying, she warned me to be ready for the leader of the werewolves who was coming the following night to kill me. Then I woke up and was thinking about it and fell back asleep and dreamed that I had been scratched by a werewolf and was now myself cursed. I knew that I needed to find the one that did it to me and kill it because that's the only way to break the curse.

Interestingly, I've had a couple other even more intense dreams over the years with werewolves in them. It's such an odd/random recurring theme. Now, if we really want to get into some strange recurring themes, I've had over 50 mountain lion dreams (sometimes half-human, half-mountain lion or shape-shifting mountain lions) as well as over 50 demonic attack dreams/experiences - but each of those could have their own entire thread hahaha. Yeah, things get weird when the lights go out and my subconscious gets switched on...

I am rarely able to remember my dreams. I can usually recall them for the first five or so minutes after I wake up, but after that, they're gone.
I have a faint recollection of a dream that involved me wandering around in a typical horror game setting, trying to find an escape while being hunted by some creature. Pretty cliche.

There's science behind not being able to remember dreams. (it has to do with the "defragging" and/with deep sleep) That's a pretty vivid dream Kerrick. I had one a few nights ago that WASN'T murderous or cannibalistic.I had a dream that my grandmother's funeral wasn't real. ...like my family (including my grandmother that passed away) were all at the table eating, and discussing how its good that grandma didn't really die. I remember seeing my brother's soon to be ex-wife there and giving her a hug goodbye (like everyone gets a hug goodbye after a family get together) and she bit and latched on to my jaw and wouldn't let go. Ow? Then I dreamed I was laying in bed, and I looked up and it was almost like looking through an empty paper-towel roll, but it was very bright at the other end. I remember seeing a bunch of faces and eyes looking down at me and hearing giggling and laughing and then I heard "Hi Tom!" and I recognized my grandma's face and she looked like she did in the black and white photos I've seen of her. (when she was younger) I then remember being in heaven (and I'll get the bad/weird out of the way) and everyone was like "souls in a jar", in an endless sized room. (everyone almost looked like a cartoony will-o-wisp in mason jars) and God (a really big will o wisp) was in the middle of this big "room" and that was heaven. I know saying it that way doesn't SEEM great, but I remember the emotion being soo so so so happy... its like, it didn't feel like being stuck in jars at all. It was like, really strong "God's glory" and "with family", absolute happiness, total freedom. That part of the dream actually inspired this thread.

I had a pretty intense dream last night that I was storming the Normandy beach a la Saving Private Ryan (I think Tom Hanks might've been there hahaha). It was definitely one of my more gruesome dreams. After shooting at the Germans in the pill-boxes with my Garand, I moved up to the end of the beach where they were weaker, progressing up into these houses where the enemy was stationed so we could get the rest of them from behind. Random.

I had a dream maybe a week ago now that I actually remember the details of. Probably because I planned on posting it here so I made a mental note of everything right after I woke up.
You might need to be a little bit familiar with the SCP lore to fully understand this.
We (me and my family) were travelling to go meet some friends and spend the night at their house for some reason. They lived in a place that basically looked like a warehouse on the inside and it was super messy with stuff everywhere. Eventually, I started wandering around through the back hallways, and then my dream basically began to shift locations. I eventually ended up in what would resemble a site from the SCP lore, but I was all alone, and there were a bunch of bedrooms for some reason. The lights were out but I never tried to turn them on. For a while, I wandered around, horrified that something might find me, and in my mind, I kept hearing the creepy music that the SCP Containment Breach game (a horror game based on the SCP lore) plays whenever SCP-106 is coming after you. However, I made no contact with anything. Eventually, I had the brilliant idea to find a bedroom and go to sleep (what was I thinking?), so I did. When I woke up, several SCP's were surrounding the bed, including 173 and 106, though they quickly vanished. I then got up, completely startled, and began to come to my senses. At that moment, something else broke into the room that resembles an SCP whose number I can't remember, though it wasn't the SCP itself. This thing had a knife and began to try to get me, but I managed to dodge him and flee the room. I began running, and at the end of the corridor, an armed soldier was standing at the door, holding a rifle, but not looking at me. For some reason, this moment startled me a ton in the dream. I just ran through the door and pretty soon, I was back in the warehouse place where my friends were, and it was as if nothing ever happened. We assumed that it was morning and just left.
Pretty weird.

↑ Dude, that's elaborate. I never knew the SCP numbers and I looked those up and they're effed in the face. That's spooky.
Hey, I think I forgot to tell you this dream I had about a week ago. It started out with my family around the dinner table, including my grandma Mary and we were talking about how great it was that she didn't really die. ...and then when the meal and talking was over and time for goodbye hugs, my brother's soon to be ex wife bit my jaw... and it hurt...
Immediately after, I dreamed that I was in my bed laying in my dark bedroom. Then I dreamed I could see some light - it reminded me of looking through the end of a paper towel roll. I saw these little eyes and faces and heard giggling. I then heard "Hi Tom!" and saw one little pair of eyes that looked like my grandmothers, when she was younger. (squinted, because she was smiling)
I told the dream to my mom... who told it to her brothers and sister. They cried.
Cool huh?

Thomas, I know something about SCP-106 that might interest you. That picture at the top of the article...no one remembers where it came from. Not even the author.

Last night's dream was a trip...
There was this elegant and ornate white church. It didn't have walls on the two long sides so you could see into it. It also had a second story that was also open to the outside. I'm not sure if this was a Christian church or not. I was with a few others maybe a hundred yards away in a white van. Above the church were some white wispy clouds and these floating pillars of ice of varying size. There were maybe six or so pillars in total and they were moving up and down, back and forth in the sky. The pillars' locations were symmetrical about the same center-plane as the church (i.e. if someone was looking head-on at the church, the upper-left and upper-right pillars would be moving up and down, closer or further away from the church in unison, etc.). Then one of the larger pillars crashed down through the ceiling of the the building. It seemed to have missed smashing anyone but then it shifted and fell on some people upstairs. At this point a series of plagues came upon the rest of the congregation and immediately surrounding area. I don't remember what they were, but they were on the same order of magnitude of something Pharaoh from the book of Exodus experienced. I only remember the last one which was quite bizarre. There came this man who was made of ground meat - like raw hamburger meat. He looked evil. And with him this flood of raw ground meat consumed the entire church and area all around it, including us in the van. But somehow we weren't killed and the dream ended with us planning how to escape: by cooking the meat.

Think of it this way. If you weren't supposed to eat hamburger dude, then why was he made of meat? [zombiechase]
I had a rather strange dream last night. I dreamed that I was in the bedroom when I was a child. (even though that room is now my nephew's bedroom, it looked like it did when I was in it) My ex wife was there, for some reason, and we were like "pals". Like laughing and joking about stuff, nothing prior relationship or anything like that. I asked her if she wanted to see a picture of my current wife, she said yes... and I could NOT for the life of me, get it pulled up on my phone.
It was almost like someone else's phone in my hands, I kept looking through folders, couldn't get it to do what I wanted it to do... ...it felt like forever that I was looking, and she kept waiting. I never found it before my dream went elsewhere. ___________________
I was hanging out with some friends (completely fabricated - none of them friends in my life) and we were talking about the band Dark Funeral. One of the guys stated that he didn't like the band because their riffs were too simple.
I remarked that it was just their old stuff that was simple, their newer stuff was more complicated, "like this..." ...and I tried to WHISTLE some Dark Funeral riffs. WHISTLE.
If that wasn't weird enough, no matter how hard I tried, I could only whistle one note. I felt like I tried for like almost a song length trying to whistle more than one note! ...and even more weird, the guy was like, sincerely, "Oh yeah, I see what you mean." like he agreed. In my dream, I was like "Phew...That was close..." that he saw my point.
When I woke up, I was like WTF and then LOL because the dream went:
Me: "No, the newer Dark Funeral stuff is more complex. Like this... Me: *whistles a single note for minutes* Dude: "Oh yeah, I see what you mean."
HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!

Two dreams last night that I remember:
Mike Quilantan submitted a one-man death metal project of his (something that doesn't exist in real life as far as I know) to the Metal Archives, but added me to the lineup for some reason. He also uploaded a "music video" to one of the songs, which featured him sitting on the floor, playing a ukulele, despite the fact that there is no ukulele sound it and it's clearly meant to be distorted guitar.
My cousins, a few random people, and I were roaming through a mall, trying to find the hangar that held the space shuttle so we could go into space because it sounded like fun. We spent ages trying to find it, going up and down several staircases, until eventually we figured out that it was right at the main entrance of the mall. Rather than actually going into space, we instead crowded ourselves into the tiny space simulator that was right next to it.
I have no explanation for these...

LOL - we act so weird in our dreams. I LOLed imagining Mike sitting with a ukulele
Last night, I dream that I'm driving in Chicago (about 4 hours from where I live and never drove it before) its its like I have this "Google maps street view" in my head. (if you've used street view and clicked up the street, that's what it looked like)
I was trying to figure out how to get home, so I park my car in street parking next to this nice house with a bunch of big holes in the yard, and I get out of the car and run up to the next block. I "Google view" down the street even further and see what looks like a liquor store.
"Eh, I guess it won't hurt to look inside."
As I'm "google view" running down the street towards it, I have some dude running next to me and he's trying to be humble. (like telling me all these things on how he's not a bad person and I don't know him!)
I get to the "liquor store" (looks like an old house with neon signs in the windows), I realize its like a huge government building inside. I can't read the sign above the door, its like a strange language, and like 3 foot inside the front door there's a bald guy with large papers at a podium, facing out the door. Behind him is a huge empty auditorium.
I think "I've got to get back to my car" so I take this other car I suddenly have and drive back to my car. ___________________________
Then I'm quietly opening a hotel room door and its a dark room with a square TV. The room was cluttered with really old furniture and my brother is sleeping in this bed.
I'm thinking I've got to be quiet and I start dusting (with a feather duster) this vanity/mirror dresser thing, and its got like dried corn chips stuck to it. My brother wakes up enough to tell me that I don't need to do that, but I keep dusting...

So much for my dream not having music. I had a dream that my extended family on my mom's side (it didn't look like them, but in my mind/dream, it was them) and they were all sitting on bleachers in a narrow hallway and had really strange/distorted Dr Seuss faces.
For some reason, "Ridin' Dirty" was playing, and one of the guys who had a distored face was singing the Weird Al version "White and Nerdy" like, WORD FOR WORD. He looked miserable while doing it, despite doing it well. ...like he didn't want to sing it?
I remember one of the "cousins" saying this song was against her beliefs... and my Uncle Tim (the only one there that was actually him) was asking "Why is he doing that?".
Meanwhile, dude singing is just trying to hide in the his face, like he's completely embarassed, but still singing!

I had a really weird dream last night.
I was at an old church that I used to go to (and this church is MASSIVE). It was a typical Sunday morning service, though for some reason, I was helping to serve communion even though I'm not a regular there. So I was standing in this room at the back of the sanctuary, holding trays with little cups of grape juice and crackers, and as worship was going on, the whole sanctuary was rocking around as if we were all on a giant cruise ship. I'm a guy who hardly ever gets motion sick, but I was starting to feel a little sick in this dream. I looked around at everyone else, and I could tell they all had an uneasy look on their face. I was afraid that some kind of crazy earthquake was about to happen. Eventually, the power shut off for a second and a massive shake threw me to the floor. The music stopped, and I heard someone say something over a microphone about technical difficulties. At this point, the entire sanctuary began to slowly tip. I sat down against the wall, so that once the wall became the floor, I would already be on it. The tipping stopped once it had reached a full 90 degrees.
I was suddenly teleported to another building about 100 feet away from the main building. It was nighttime now. I was looking out through a massive window at the main building. The sanctuary was now upside-down, and the gym was turned on its side. The rest of the building looked normal. There was some guy who was there with me. I asked him what was going on. (I was acting as if this was my first time ever seeing the building like this, even though I had been in it during the tip. It was as if I had become a different character in my dream.) He couldn't explain anything. No one really could.
Weird, eh?

Whoa that's wild! Very interesting! You could definitely read into possible meanings for it (though after MANY bizarre dreams, I have pretty much stopped looking for meanings in them unless there's something that seems particularly intentional).
I had a dream a couple years ago or so about some weird stuff going on at a church (giant crystal things floating in the air, plagues, etc.). I should try to find it and write it here if I haven't already.
Last night I had a dream last night that on the day of our wedding, before the ceremony, Veronika and I were at an Iron Maiden concert and it was Steve's (their bassist/founder) birthday and for some reason everyone was trying to sing The Wickerman (my favorite Maiden song) to him but the crowd was having a difficult time staying in sync and remembering the lyrics hahaha. Iron Maiden concert, wedding, what a great day!

I had a dream last night that I came up with this brilliant app where you could hunt all the Pokemon that people are trying to catch. You'd go around with your phone and find them just like the ever-so-popular game, but instead of catching them, you blow them up or whatever so others couldn't catch them - just to piss 'em off. Hahahaha whyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy did I dream this... I have no idea... I'm not usually that sadistic!

I had a dream that Kerrick was in my town for some reason. I was at my local pharmacy and as I was about to walk out, I called Kerrick to ask if he wanted to go with me to some event that was going on at another part of town that doesn't exist in the real world. At one point he might have actually walked up to the door of the pharmacy and talked to me face-to-face, come to think of it.
For some reason, places in my dreams never look the way they do in real life.

I have that with people as well. ...where they look nothing like them, but I still know them as that person in the dream.
For instance, a while ago, I had a dream where Kerrick, myself and my wife were hanging out at some imaginary place where my mom was staying. Strange people kept coming over at like 3-4am and Kerrick (who was Mexican in the dream) was just like "I don't know" to why people were wanting to come over.

...I had a dream that Kerrick was in my town for some reason... ...and Kerrick (who was Mexican in the dream) was just like... Wow I am honored! Haha my dream self must be much more interesting because he seems to always be getting invited places. I had a dream the other night that my friend's mom wanted to shoot my 9mm AR-pistol but before I handed it over to her, I saw this ~2ft long praying mantis-looking creature that hissed at me so I shot it. It keeled over and once someone had taken it from out of the shadows and into the sun, it basically evaporated like a vampire or something would haha. That night I was also going to my vacation house on the moon to do some renovation work on it. I remember thinking, "I've got to remind everyone to NOT open the door there unless they have their space suits on because they'll die otherwise..." I had a bunch of dreams last night - some of which I think were pretty interesting - but cannot remember them now. Dang.

I had a dream that it was very late at night and I was going to church to have a small (apparently, very informal) meeting of some sort with the pastor and a few other people. Behind the church, there were a few teenagers (young adults?) who, somehow, just seemed like they were up to something fishy. As the meeting started, we decided to invite the teenagers(?) into the church with us. At first they seemed to ignore us, so we started talking and sharing some food, but eventually they all reluctantly walked in and people started pulling up chairs for them. I actually recognized one of them from school, but for some reason, he didn't recognize me. (My mind's way of interpreting how much I've changed since I last saw him, maybe?) I started talking to him, and as I stood up to get something, I woke up. I was actually a bit disappointed to wake up.

My dream last night, my cat was to be euthanized by having her heart removed. They removed her tongue instead. For some reason, I was going to eat her and stopped at the eyes before I realized she was still alive.
Then I ate the face of some other larger animal... dunno what kind of animal, if you skinned a face and threw it on a plate, expression up, that's what it looked like. While I'm eating it, the eyes are blinking.
Dunno what any of that means, but I wasn't too disappointed to wake up if you know what I mean...
