Nice! Apparently there is a black metal song on the Kohllapse debut. Indeed there is! Unfortunately, I haven't listened to it yet because they sent me the wrong Kohllapse album! The good news is, they've already sent me the right one AND they're letting me just keep Distant Mind Alternative. Score! Mark's Ear Candy gets a big two thumbs-up from me.

Mark's Ear Candy gets a big two thumbs-up from me. I've always had really good luck with Mark's. My "go to" if Metal Helm doesn't have the album I'm looking for. Great service and a great selection.

I picked up a digital copy of Sacred - Ashes to Ascension, a Christian progressive metal band in the vein of a slightly more melodic Tool. I'm digging it so far. I'm about halfway through the album.

I had a good feeling, was more nervous then expected. But all in all it was interesting, I think they realized that I´m serious and a really good worker. I mean, I´m just 2 and a half years in this country and I´m already suppervising a team and am the Deputy Head of my Department. Also, I have THE Big Boss on my site so whatever happens I´m cool. ^_^ Thanks for asking, also prayers are always wellcome/needed Edit: just got a e-mail, I didn´t get the job

I hope the next interview also sees that you're serious and a good worker. Keep up the good work! (Ephesians 6:7!)

I just got the new and final Sleeping Giant album in the mail.Sleeping Giant has a place in my heart because they were such an influence on the beginning of my faith. I'm excited to listen to this record. Apparently there are vocal features from Silent Planet, For Today, and Impending Doom.

I like it. I had heard two or three songs before purchasing, so I would not have made the purchase had I not enjoyed what I heard.

olin Stetson and Sarah Neufeld - Never Were the Way She Was (I'm loving this one!) DUDE. This album is amazing. I really ought to listen to my copy more. How did you find it? Are you a fan of Constellation Records? And how are you liking the Arvinger album? I was considering getting that.

Are you a fan of Constellation Records? And how are you liking the Arvinger album? I was considering getting that. I almost asked you if you liked it, since I was guessing you might!!! I'm not sure how I first found it. It might have been on a YouTube compilation/list thing. I really love it. I might end up nerding out pretty hard on Colin Stetson. I'd like to get his version of Gorecki's third symphony, because I love that piece anyway. I do like quite a bit of Constellation catalog, but I haven't dived (dove? diven? ) too deep yet. I just don't have time to listen to everything I find, I guess. Any recommendations (beside the obvious one of GYBE!)? I know you like Silver Mt. Zion. I really haven't listened to them much yet. Haven't had a chance to listen to Arvinger yet. Just got it on Friday. It was kind of an impulse buy, I guess.

barabbas lawl'ed at 'diven' ha. Dude, nice! I'm listening to it now Yeah, I need to get into Colin Stetson's solo work more. For folks who haven't heard of him, here's a pretty cool video of his saxophone playing. nocturnaliridescence , I am curious about your thoughts. And I haven't heard of Gorecki's third O.o perhaps I'll check it out. Yes, I feel the same way with Constellation -- there is so much cool stuff. I think Esmerine is unique and really talented. This is my most played song by them, but it certainly is not representative of what they usually play; actually, they are quite diverse. Usually there are more bells and less prominent drums, I would say. And not ~quite~ so Turkish sounding. I almost impulse bought Arvinger too. I think it was in my cart and I closed out of the browser before buying. Edit: Oh my gosh, for those who care, the aforelinked Esmerine song is just so delicious.

Too much more and I'll be highjacking this thread. So just a few thoughts. That video you picked _ for Stetson is just the one I would have chosen, if I didn't pick the one where he explains what he's doing in it, which is jaw-dropping. Stetson's version of Gorecki's third is called Sorrow. He claims the arrangement is influenced by black metal, among other things! I'm hoping to check out his metal band a bit more: Ex Eye.
