Hi folks, here´s a acoustic version of a riff that´s gonna be on my upcoming album. The song ended up quite chaotic and sinister but the riff in itself sounds beautiful at least to me. I might add the acoustic version as a bonus track.

I updated the mix and changed around some things for the melodic black/doom track I wrote a few months ago. I am debating adding more keys and incorporating synthesizers into the atmosphere as well as considering changing up the drum programming a bit more. All constructive feedback is appreciated. soundcloud.com/kyle-kristian/melodic-black-doom-1

Listened to it yesterday. You do quality stuff, even if my attention span is too short for a doom style song that length.

I like it! Definitely unusual to hear dark/folk stuff like this in the Christian scene! Not to mention, it's really well-done. I wouldn't mind if you made it into a full song.

Thank You, I´m very glad you like it. I just bought some new software so I played around. Also I love folk music of all kind, so I´ll definietly end up making a full album.

I wrote this: .
These are the lyrics:
where to begin save the starting line weary of my sin save the heart in my chest, wear it on my sleeve, bleeding all the time be aware of sympathy and beware its lies
(yes) cut the ties to those who say they’ll hold you down but when you cry for help they ain’t never around been tryna ride with A1s since seeing The Town now i’d be fine with anyone helping me out
Jesus ain’t just the reason for the season now He’s the reason I ain’t breathing less and bleeding out you a reason, you are a son, that’s reasoned out the father loves us, no farther from us than we allow
i’m near year’s end with clear rear lens last year couldve been my last year, new beginnings i hope for, i want to hope more, “hope won’t weigh you down”, so I have been told before
back and forth on if I believe it question everyone except for Jesus (why do I say this so weird in the recording) question everything except my purpose and that i need to be breathing to be able to acheive it
this six bit goes out to thee misfits it’s Christmas aint tryna miswitness i’m a Christian and I’ve been in distress keep your head up with hope stronger than weakness

Yeah, that first riff would sit very nicely in between "Twilight of the Thunder God" and "Father of the Wolf". They're one of my favorite bands of all time.

I tried to base this off of Homeboy Sandman in terms of non-narrative lyrics and a chill delivery.
hi, who am i a closet believer of life sucks then you die an honest deceiver when I say I’m doing fine I am who I am, said my God, so I strive to push aside strife, pick up the pen write, pick up weapons fight, am i doing this right?
time ticks by bye lyme ticks die uneased or diseased till new jerusalem arrives we breathe we see should be enough to get by greedy sleazy never enough to satisfy
i just speak what’s on my mind sulci gyre anatomically i’m fine i’m sulking gee i’m awry psychosocially i’m find ing out just how much I don’t comply or care to try
carry out my life with caries on my pearly whites wash my tomb with doom and gloom the only bloom is Christ umm kulthum i’m moving right music soothes the blues at night every moon that’s blue i’m bright that’s just my shchedule alright?

Apparently I made this audio September 2015.
Edit: It reminds me of World's End Girlfriend, if I may be so bold.

Mostly for my sake I counted my videos posted in this thread and it's one indie folk (eh, ish) recording, one ambient/experimental, one freestyle rap, and three written raps, including the one below. That's pretty cool, I think The one below I probably made two years ago and just rediscovered it; a friend made the instrumental, which is pretty nifty. I've included the lyrics here because at points it's hard to understand what I'm saying. Edit: I sent this to a rapper I follow on Twitter and who follows me (I would rather just say "I sent this to a friend who raps" but we're not friends) and lol he sent the following back after listening: "Delivery leaves a lot to be desired but your an interesting writer who probably has unique things to say" haha. devil growls in the night Grendel prowls out of sight sleepy hollow with the fright am i jekyll or just mr. hyde when I see no light I know I need to fight though my mind's not right depression and stressin they grip me tight I might suffocate my might loses life i need help i look around and I see your wealth do you see my health I thought we were family maybe reality's really estranged from my self mental health is either misnamed or its mistreated you miss treatment if you aint hanged or with wrists bleedin that's physical; more clock with the doc at my physical then when I really need help no slit wrists or fixed clips you're dismissed, negligible is my misery, you commiserate with suicidial tendencies I guess inner bleeds are too trivial my ex left me for dead, that's one tech to the head from being literal vulpine queens and vulturine fiends involving me in vulnerary schemes clash ruined enemies around me cream still fighting to simply sleep, these nightmares are killing dreams don't say that you got me, unless you gon get me satan, the world, and my flesh all tryin trip me it's worse with the change in my biochemistry it's hard to find a friend, shouts to David B silence from friends, misguidance from the system who will be with me besides just my King Jesus don't get it twisted, He isn't insufficient but He made us to love and your love I ain't feeling dialogue if you are more than just wondering monologues assuage zero of my suffering i'm tired of people assuming and guessing you better listen when I answer your question but don't speak if you won't listen i dont seek counsel from just good intentions if you dont know my mission, values, disposition i promise at what you are pitching, you're missing I don't have time to hear words from deaf ears if you want to help, humble yourself and be here talk a while in my views to see I'm broken asunder and walk a mile in my shoes to feel my soul, that's understand

A loosely developed and structured track made up of various ideas. It will likely evolve into at least one track for Sentinel Mysterium. Any constructive feedback is welcome. soundcloud.com/kyle-kristian/theory-of-chaotic-orderEdit: It feels like it moves on from section to section too quickly in some parts. Perhaps I should let it simmer, so to speak, to more thouroughly establish atmosphere before moving onto the next passage. Those of you who are more experienced in making music, would you say there are too many ideas thrown into one track, and it would work better as two or three separate songs, or do you feel there is enough cohesion that it could work as a single, albeit fairly long, track?
