My wife and I watched An American Werewolf In London the other night. Such a great flick. Though she particularly didn't care for the scene in the porno theater due to the nudity shown - which affected her overall enjoyment of the movie. And rightfully so. Enjoying violence, sex, nudity, foul language, and the like in movies is something I think God has been slowly refining in me... though I still have a ways to go.

↑ you know, when I first saw that cover on Netflix, I confused it with that one movie where Michael J Fox is a werewolf and passed it by. LOL I'll check it out one of these nights!
Sex and nudity is such a drag in horror movies. Like, no one would want to see me and my wife beefing it. Why would I want to see anyone else doing it? Its not "hot" to me. I'm not even sure why its there. ...unless it's so ridiculous its funny. I mean, girl getting chased by a monster, one of her boobs flies out while she's running and screaming, that's pretty funny...
...but it would be even funnier if it was a fat guy running, and one of his moobs went flapping in the wind. So why not do that instead? HAHA!!

It'd be even better if fat guy actually outran the killer while that happened. Like, "yeah, the moobs may have been bouncing around like a Chinese trampoline gymnast on crack.....BUT I GOT AWAY!!!!!"
You know what I actually want to see? Something like Tucker & Dale vs Evil, but instead it's a movie where a Jason Voorhees type keeps getting robbed of actually making the kill by gruesome accidents that he actually has nothing to do with. He's chasing a victim they a meat packing plant, makes his slash/stab but doesn't connect because the victim tripped, fell over a rail and landed on a meat hook. That type of setup could be HILARIOUS.

Only if he said that while he was catching his breath and he was holding a sandwich the entire time he was running. [rofl] You know what I actually want to see? That type of setup could be HILARIOUS. Those glasses that one dude has on Tucker and Dale are INTENSE. Like, he could stare intently at a person and the vending machine behind them AT THE SAME TIME with those.

Oh dude you gotta see it; it's an absolute classic! I think you'd like it. It is NOTHING like Teen Wolf. It's actually really quite gruesome. Great mix of horror and comedy and awesome practical effects.

I'll be curious what you think of it!
Have you seen Late Phases? I've heard it's a pretty good werewolf flick as well and have been meaning to watch it.

Is it on Netflix? The last decent "werewolf-ish" movie I watched was this one. The movie wasn't in English (never seen a Danish speaking movie before) and was a decent werewolf-ish flick. (They weren't actually werewolves, more like these women would turn into a violent Sabertooth-from-Marvel type beasts if they weren't heavily sedated and regularly shaved)

It is on Netflix! Folks on the Metal Archives were talking about it being good.
Oh I remember you mentioning that one. The trailer looks interesting; I wouldn't mind seeing it.

Watched a very interesting documentary on Hulu today. Called "Under The Sea", released in 2009-2010, originally for IMAX or something. It's based on the life at the Great Barrier Reef. Excellent footage, and this obviously had a big budget. I'm a sucker for nature documentaries, especially really well featured ones like this because I'm just fascinated with the variety of God's design. What made this movie stand out from other documentaries was who narrated it. Jim Carrey. Yes, THE Jim Carrey. He's using his "inside voice" for this, and there is absolutely no zaniness of his. (its not like Ace Ventura narrates this LOL) ....but there is still SOME personality of his in there. Nothing that had me rolling with laughter, but I had a half smile the entire time I watched it. A few examples - not verbatim, but you get the idea: "This stingray is burying itself in the sand so it can wait silently for prey to get close. Dude, I can still totally see your tail." "This Potato Cod is ready for her beautician. After all, if you're a Potato Cod ready for a beautician, you need all the help you can get." "As the large cuddle-fish males fight over this female, the smaller males disguise themselves as females so they can mate undetected. Apparently female cuddle-fish are attracted to cross dressing males." Classic. Would watch again.

Sounds really nice, Tom! I'll have to keep it in mind if I ever have the free time to watch documentaries lol. Not to say that I wouldn't like to, I just don't. The only thing that gets me is how insanely in-your-face the "IMAX" logo is in that poster, it looks like it's part of the movie title.

Trying to keep my TV-time to a minimum but when I watch something it´s mostly re-runs of the original "Two and a half man", "King of Queens", "Everybody love´s Raymond" & "NCIS". Recently, the only new series I´ve been following is "Suits", I´m usually not into this type of show but this one is not bad.
At the moment waiting on the new "Vikings" session.

I may have asked this before but I'm not going to check Anyone fans of V For Vendetta? 'Tis the eve of the 5th of November. Movies (stories, really) that are my favorite involve the protagonist being on a quest and seeing it through, despite difficulty. Such movies include LOTR, the Book of Eli, Horton Hears A Who! (yeah, bro), V For Vendetta (to a lesser extent), and the Pursuit of Happyness.

My wife and I recently finished Season 5 of The Blacklist. Some of the other shows we've watched together on Netflix have been The Office, Parks and Recreation, and Santa Clarita Diet. Before Thanksgiving we were also trying to finish Season 2 of Ash vs. Evil Dead, but our internet was not agreeing with Netflix and kept giving us problems, lol.
I think my wife wants to start watching Game of Thrones, but I'm not sure about it.

I think my wife wants to start watching Game of Thrones, but I'm not sure about it. If you don't mind graphic sex & violence, it's an excellent show. Epic in every sense of the word, full of major plot twists, great acting, drama, etc. I read the books first, and it took a little bit to get into it, but once I did, I was hooked. If you like Lord of the Rings/Fantasy stuff, check it out.

I watched The Bye Bye Man a few days ago on Netflix. It was ok.
I've been watching The Strain on Hulu. I like it. My wife, does not.
My wife and I have also been watching Star Trek Voyager on Netflix. She does like this show. We're about halfway through season 3. Almost to 7 of 9 making her appearance. :B

My wife and I got Amazon Prime recently, and I watched the movie Hereditary last night. Very very good. I really enjoyed it.
I remember seeing previews/reviews when it came out, "scariest movie since The Exorcist" or something like that.... No. Not scary at all, IMO..... but its astronomical as far as "creepy" goes. Absolutely NO jump scares.
I love horror, but I'm particular about some things. This movie was great because no boobs/nudity. Very little profanity, there wasn't much. Not really any murder? Kind of but not really? There is some gore in the movie, but it certainly wasn't a senseless gorefest - it was completely applicable to the story.
The best part, and I've only seen a few movies do this. (The Shining would probably be the most popular example. A better example IMO is the movie The Innkeepers.) It starts out pretty normal. Then the creepy just seeps in, becoming more and more intense as the movie plays out. The last 20 minutes of the film crescendos into this "!?!?!?!? What the...!!!!!!!" that I didn't see coming at all.
I'd HIGHLY recommend this one if you like fairly clean, well built horror.

Ever since Pluto TV got a channel dedicated to the show "Cops" 24 hours a day, my wife and I have been binge watching that. Pretty much drugs or alcohol are always involved with every arrest on the show. Some of the shenanigans ensue hilarity.
Man 2: *takes his shirt off while talking to cop* Cop: "Why are you taking your shirt off?" Man 2: *points at Man 1 in handcuffs for a DUI arrest* "I don't have any tissues for him to blow his nose." *Camera shows Man 1 leaning against the front of an SUV with massive snot bungee cords hanging from his nose before panning back to the cop and Man 2 again* Cop: "So you were going to let him blow his nose in your shirt?" Man 2: "Yes." Cop: "Put your shirt back on. We'll see if we can find some tissues for him." *a "ffthooo" is heard and the camera shows that Man 1 is now snot free and his false teeth are on the ground* *the camera shows Man 2 with his shirt back on, with his hands on his hips looking at Man 1 with an expression of disapproval*

In preparation for the new Spider-Man movie, my wife and I decided to watch the old Spider-Man movies. So far we only watched the first two.
Gotta say, Spider-Man 2 was pretty good. Probably the best one from that trilogy!
(Also, I legit didn't know which role Bruce Campbell played in the first movie until we rewatched it. He's the wrestling announcer 😁)

I've been watching Amazon's Wheel of Time TV series. This has quickly descended from "I'm watching this because I love the books and am excited for the series" to "I'm hate-watching this because it's a train wreck that barely has anything in commmon with the books apart from the names of the characters. Also, they significantly changed two of my favorite characters. Mat is changed from a fun, happy-go-lucky character into a cynical jerk. He has one funny line and just mopes around the entire time. The show completely nerfs Nynaeve. She no longer has major anger issues, which completely changes her character arc. In the books, she has a huge temper and is on a huge power trip due to being the most influential person in the village, and over time she gradually realizes she has to be more humble. That's pretty much gone.
