If you wish for me to review an album, please respond to this thread with your request and I'll try to get to it but I cannot guarantee anything. I will need some place where I can listen to the album in its entirety (whether it be YouTube, Bandcamp, or something else) unless I already own it.
Request Log:
Albums I own: Ecthirion - Apocalyptic Visions Eulogium - The Transcendence of Hope Vardøger - Ghost Notes
Albums I don't own: Bleak Harvest - Everything...Meaningless Bloodwork - World Without End Bozkath - Catacomb Demoniciduth - Enemy of Satan Departe - Failure, Subside Golgota - Return to the Old Path Harvester of Souls - Visions of an Apocalyptic Wasteland Hope for the Dying - Legacy Mantric - Sin Ohen - Mortal Man Pilgrimage - Ad Maiorem Dei Gloriam Roots of Tragedy - Awakening Beyond They Wither - They Wither Through the Thorns - Woodland Horizons

Great idea! Are you on the Metal Archives or Firestream? If so, we could see your collection and know to pick from there or provide a link where you can listen to the whole album.

I don't have my collection posted anywhere online. You can look at the rare albums thread and know that I own all of those. I do own a lot of CBM though so if you're looking for a review for a relatively common album, odds are that I have it. Except for A Hill to Die Upon...I never could get into that band.

I'll try to get to Shadows of Paragon soon. I've listened to that album a lot so I should be able to write a good review of it.
The other two may take a little time because I have to listen to them on YouTube first.

Cool, no hurry nor obligation to do any of 'em! They're on my want-list but I've only heard samples of each so I'd enjoy reading a full and in-depth review for them.

I'd like to see an album review of Sacred Revelation. Band was short lived but I liked what I heard. They can be found on Bandcamp still I think.

Roots Of Tragedy - Awakening Beyond Harvester Of Souls - Visions of an Apocalyptic Wasteland I'd like to see an album review of Sacred Revelation. I would second these only because I'm not familiar with them at all. ...in fact, I've never heard of them. Except for A Hill to Die Upon...I never could get into that band. They sound ok, but one of the dudes from there is pretty immature, IMO.

I'm curious to know your thoughts on the following recent albums: Mantric - Sin Vardoger - Ghost Notes I happen to really like both, but I could see how they may rub fans of their earlier work the wrong way.

I've heard of Mantric but I don't even know what genre they are. If they're death or black metal I can probably review it, but you shouldn't take my opinion on thrash/heavy/power/whatever bands, because I don't like those genres.
Man, I haven't listened to enough of that new Vardøger. I'll need to digest it more before I can get a review of that out.

I'll be the first to say it. 100 "A+" - A truly legendary album, be sure to give this a listen and buy it if you ever get the chance. 90-99 "A" - A fantastic album, one that you should absolutely give a shot, even if it's a genre that you don't typically enjoy. 80-89 "B" - A good album, probably something you should look into. You probably won't like it unless you typically like the genre though. 70-79 "C" - A decent album. It has some things going for it, but there are obvious flaws. 60-69 "D" - A bad album. There's a chance that some people may enjoy this, but I certainly don't. There might be a few good ideas, but it is overall too flawed to be enjoyed. 1-59 "F" - A terrible album, there is no reason for you to listen to this unless you think bad music is funny. 0 "..." - A truly horrendous album. Words cannot describe its awfulness. I would like to see a handful of 0-69 score album reviews. I'm wondering how you would write that. ...or at least I would like to know how many albums would fit into that score. LOL

I might give that a shot sometime. I can think of some albums that I would score that low.

I would like to have a review of Imperial Dusk "Northern Hordes". I've recently purchased it, and I must say I'm quite disappointed. I'd say it's a rather "embarrassing" release. I'm curious to hear what you think about it.

Ah, yes, that would be a good one to review.
I'll do it next. I can't guarantee when that will be though.

Your reviews are great -- cheers, bro.
It'd be great to read your thoughts on Ecthirion's EP.

CW - what do you think about a review of Dark Lay Still - Through Hell...? I enjoy the album, but see that it got reamed on MA by thejoker. Would be very interested in your take on this "American" Moonlight.

I don't actually own that album, nor have I listened to much of it. I might check it out eventually though.
Sorry I haven't gotten a review out in a while. Been real busy lately. Should get one out within two weeks from now.

I'm kind of curious to see a review of it too, actually. I have the album and honestly wasn't as impressed by it as I thought I'd be.

I went through all the replies of this thread and created a list of the requests that I haven't reviewed yet. Again, there are some of these that I will probably never review, but some I might eventually. I mostly just did this so that if I ever feel bored and don't know what to review, I could pick one of these.

Thinking about it more, would you be willing to review Catacomb EP? I know my music is... odd, but it's not actually that odd to me because I listen to experimental stuff a lot, and actually wish I could find more of it. But I'm curious what someone else would have to say about it in a full review. What do people think when they hear this stuff? Feel free to be brutally honest if necessary.
