I was checking out the current band COBALT on Metal Archives and turns out some of the members of that band (one current and one ex-member) were in a band called Konstrux. Lyrical themes listed is "Christianity", here is their page: www.metal-archives.com/bands/Konstrux/3540390906

Of_This_Night36 is me I'm the one who added them to MA. I'm not sure why they weren't listed here though. Added now. Edit: I've also been adding other bands here and there to the list, too - I recently added Atarot and Schofar - I just haven't been making a post each time. Do you guys think I should make a post here when I update the list?

I havent searched it yet but it looks like one of those "never to be seen" releases.

Nope. I only ever found this one song. Shame that two of the band members apparently left Christianity.

I added an "unknown" section to the bottom of the list. So far, we have:
Ancient Sonnet, Apploro, Blissin Angel, California, Ceremonious Woods, Cupressaceae, Damonian Anario, Dark Souls, Ekklesia Mortifis, Frozen Scene, Golgotha (not to be confused with Golgota from Ecuador), Khazad Dum, Kreuzträger, Man Killed Eden, Martyrium, Nachtwald, Rebirth, Tetelestai, V.O.F. (Valley of Fog), White Fire
I think California are actually from Mexico, but I'm not sure.

Added Maccadeshkem, along with a couple names I found on metalforjesus.org Israel, Switzerland -- Edit, I found audio for them. But it's only one song, and I can't find anything elseSorg, Norway Anyone know anything about the last two projects?? There was a website listed for "Israel", but it doesn't work, and it's not available on archive.org. All it had for "Sorg" was that they split up in 1998, and that they were interviewed at some point in "Turn or Burn No. 2". EDIT: Also added, Equinox, USA IHS, Sweden (spiritussancti's project) Spiritus, Portugal (info???) Corpsius, Sweden (info???)

This thread is worthy of it. This is one of my favorite threads. Do you guys think I should make a post here when I update the list? I would appreciate that. I'm listening to Mefiboseth currently. Also it's possible that I scour the listed bands from Spanish-speaking countries to listen to while I study Spanish.

in a band called Konstrux. Always wondered what happened to them. Back in 2000, I made an acoustic Christian BM project called Once Dead (long before I ever heard of the other Christian band of the same name). I came into contact with some Christian Black Metallers calling themselves the "Svart Horde," and there was this guy named "Astronolycus Necrolancer," who was part of Konstrux which had just newly formed aropund that time. He had been in some ther band previously, but I forget what it was called. He actually had done a website for my Once Dead project free of charge. Cool guy.

Unfortunately one (possibly two) of the members left Christianity (one supposedly becoming quite the hateful individual?) and are part of secular projects now.

I actually have one surviving cassette of the first album I did with that project, circa Spring 2000, called "The Untold Utterance of the Seven Thunders." Unfortunately, I don't have a cassette player, so I haven't been able to convert it to digital format yet. (Y'know, I could have gotten one long ago, if I wasn't so obsessed with buying books! Derp! ) They split up. Unfortunately one (possibly two) of the members left Christianity (one supposedly becoming quite the hateful individual?) and are part of secular projects now. That's really unfortunate. If one of those persons was Astronolycus, that's really too bad. His propagandizing of the crucial importance and mission of the early Unblack Metal Movement was really a formative influence on me, as I struggled to get out of satanism and submit to God in repentance back then. I can certainly see how people can leave the faith though, it isn't easy, and there are a lot of things against us. What secular projects are they involved with? Any info on them? I'm curious.

Here are the projects they're involved with: [click] I know 100% that Phil is the same guy from secular project Cobalt, but I'm not 100% sure that this is the same Erik, despite being listed as such. I'm not sure where [whoever updated the page?] got that information. If one of those persons was Astronolycus, that's really too bad. His propagandizing of the crucial importance and mission of the early Unblack Metal Movement was really a formative influence on me, as I struggled to get out of satanism and submit to God in repentance back then. Yeah Let's just say I know what it's like to have influential people end up ... not being what you thought they were. That's why nowadays, I really try to stress not putting other humans on a pedestal. (For the record though I'm still not 100% sure who Astronolycus was. I have an idea, but I'm not sure so I don't want to assume.)

Stuff like "They burn churches, we build them!" Was nice to see the contrast. I'm a sucker for propaganda lol. Unfortunately, I don't remember his real name. I almost want to say it's Phil, it certainly might be. Had no idea the guys went on to be in Cobalt though. I've never listened to them really, but now I might.

Today I added world-famous pop group Abba, who recently moved to Bolivia and switched to black/doom metal. Nah, I added Abbá, who are apparently a new black/doom band in Bolivia. I don't currently have any more information about them, but they're playing at Iglesia Caverna tonight. Edit: They're a new band, formed by somebody who has just recently begun their faith journey. Awesome! By the way, if that person ever sees this post: it's just a joke. Just me, and my weird sense of humor. It's no problem if your band shares a name with another band.

Going to be adding several names here in the next few days - I found a list on an old metal site, I just figure I'll do a bit of research on them first. In the meantime, I added Alstadt to the "Currently unknown" section, since the artist wishes to stay anonymous.

I thought I read somewhere (perhaps even on this forum, in a quote taken from an interview or something) that DarkDark began as a non-Christian band and became Christian around 2005 or 2006, so it might be worth updating the Light Shall Prevail/DarkDark entry from "(-2008)" to "(2005/6-2008)" or something like that. I'm not going to do it myself though because I trust that you would know more about this than I would, and I could be wrong.

Nah, you're right According to E, the first Christian release under DarkDark was Overwhelming Grimness, which was released in ... *checks MA* April 2005. Updated now.

Added Crucifijo Impúdico from Chile. The band is Christian (as confirmed by Vampire Records), just very anti-Catholicism. Edit: Also added Akrythael to "Currently Unknown".

I went ahead and added Dödfödd from Sweden "(as of 2015)". Even though the owner of Temple of Death Productions never actually responded to my FB message, Emil himself did refer to Dödfödd's new material as "Roman Catholic bm". Edit: I also added "aka Hazaell" next to Hazael's name. For some reason, they seem to use both spellings. Edit: I also added Katharos, Fire (Elgibbor)'s new project, with someone named Taberah whose name I don't recognize. Edit: Also added the following bands that I somehow forgot to add here: Amnos (Brazil), Rüstung Gottes (Canada), Cacophony of Wailing, Nineveh, Sindarin, The Crowned Virgin (all from the USA)

Good to see you again, kimmo! I can't find the page right now, but I do specifically remember Lord Horrific saying Horrific Majesty wasn't Christian. He just claimed to be one, and wrote one song with pseudo-Christian lyrics so a label would release his music. __________ 1) Added Kibroth Hattaavah2) Moved Michael Mosher's project "Once Dead" to Canada. For some reason I mistakenly added it to the USA section.

Toying with the idea of traveling to a Spanish speaking country, so naturally, amidst flight and lodging websites, I had to check out this thread. Guatemala CBM, dónde está?

According to MA, there are only 40 black metal bands in all of Guatemala. Of course there are bound to be a few that don't make it onto MA for some reason, but still, wow. You're right, that's weird. Also, just make sure the country you travel to actually speaks Spanish. It can be easy to get mixed up between Portuguese and Spanish.

Added Avidez from Ecuador. For those who remember me asking about the band God Enthroned, this band features two former members of that band. As for Avidez, this stuff is RAW. Definitely looking forward to hearing more!!!

Going to be adding several names here in the next few days Hey guys so I finally did this today lol This is the page in question, and I added the following bands: Crematorium Culto
Efezus Removed Efezus. Not bad at all, but they're thrash metal, not black/unblack metal. All from Brazil. I can't find anything about any of them except the style they played. I might try a few more in-depth Google searches someday. I also saw a band named Tears of Blood on a poster Mefiboseth shared on Facebook. The music sounds pretty good! I've never heard of this band, yet they have over 2,800 likes on Facebook.
