Big thanks, NI, for your tireless dedication to UNblack Metal do you have that Soterion`s Cult of Lies Demo? I have it - for years in my non-Christian section, now I could remove it to the right side I'm really glad people appreciate it Both bands and listeners. As for the demo, I just got a download of it, but I don't have the CD itself. 1) Added Horda Morda. Absolutely manic blacknoise from Russia. [Compilation] [tracks]. [Live video featuring destruction of equipment]. Listen if you dare. Formed in June 2007, no idea if they're still active or not. 2) Moved Unblasphemy to "Currently Unknown". Since we can't find a definitive answer as to if they're from Sweden or Russia.

I like the Horda Morda compilation track. Any suggestions for a similar sound? (The live video seems crazy.)

1) Any suggestions for a similar sound? Well first, notice there are two tracks, not just one Second: Paleas Comburet Igni Inextinguibili, Azrael [Canada], Decimate Damnation, Hazaell, and maybe Primitive Church, and early Armageddon Holocaust 2) Changed "Soterion" back to its own entry, because apparently Soterion and Almagor AREN'T the same band. The person who told me that was wrong. A member of the band corrected them now.

Would you guys consider this black metal?

Based on what I have heard from that project, it is borderline. Melodic death metal with some black metal elements of varying prevalence.

I would not call that black, per se. Blackened symphonic death metal seems to be a perfect description, like the tag.

Added (as of 2006) to Mortuorium. Formed in 2003, and Denethor converted to Christianity in 2006. Also, I missed this, Mortuorium released a 2-song EP earlier this year. Apparently they don't really play "black metal" anymore, they play more of a viking/death kind of style now, but you guys may still be interested. Sample here.

Added Slither in Flames from the USA. Now, this is from the guy behind this project, so I expect when Slither in Flames starts releasing music, we should expect something VERY NOISY. Not complaining of course, we can never have enough blacknoise, just ...... fair warning!

1) Added Frozen Blast from Switzerland. Wintery symphonic-ish black metal project of the vocalist of death/grind band Necroblation. 2) Added "Draco" to Equinox (USA). Equinox was their original name, then they changed it to Draco. ..................... By the way, would anyone happen to know about a [SUPPOSED] rerelease of their demo "Ceremony of the North Winds" under the name Draco? grendel maybe?

Added Evig Mørke to the Netherlands.
I'm tired, I think I'm starting with a headache and this whole thing is a big mess. Don't even ask.
Long story short, the ""Evig Mørke"" from Australia is actually a satanic project by an entirely different dude. Somehow the two got confused with each other.

Added two THREE old bands: Hemathohidrosis, Chile Acharith, Brazil Melchizedek, unknown ( not the one from Canada!) * Also, Cromleh (Romania) used to go by "Sepulcral" so I added that. It's been on Metal Archives this whole time, I just never thought to add it here.

Added: 1) Thusiasterion2) GadarenBoth from Argentina. Both seem to be kind of old bands, BUT we didn't have Argentina added to this list before, so that's an accomplishment in and of itself! Update: Added a link for more info on Gadaren

PLEASE READ THIS POST
Removed Destinglor. The dude was found to be plagiarizing music for one of his other projects, Endelmoor, and lying about various things. I would have removed Endelmoor too, but somehow we managed to forget to add it here in the first place?? And allegedly, the reason all his pages are gone now, is because he impulsively deleted / abandoned all of them after being called out for lying.
I don't know.
If you guys think his projects should be added back, let me know. But I just ... don't think we need that kind of thing in this thread.
And I know we're no better. We've all lied, etc. But this whole thing just leaves a bad taste in my mouth.
Like I said, let me know.

Eh. I don't feel too strongly either way. (I feel strongly about plagiarism.) I'd say boot 'em.

Moved some projects around based on where the band members live.
- Destroyer of Lie, Plerophoria, Henoticon, and Last Battle have all been moved to International (Anatoly lives in Ukraine, Max lives in Russia)
- Dying Blaze (Max's solo project) has been moved to Russia.
If you use Metal Archives, you'll see the countries are still the same. I haven't changed those yet -- long story short, Metal Archives' rules on the "location" field are different than what I use here.

Moved Rebirth from Unknown to the Netherlands.
Shamgar had a project called "Rebirth" before forming Slechtvalk. I still need a guy to reply to my email, just to be sure, but even if this does turn out to be a totally different project (which I doubt) it was still based in the Netherlands; the email address on archive.org has .nl which is the TLD for the Netherlands
Edit: It is, in fact, the same project.

Added Virgin Gauge to Sweden, and Întristare to the USA. And I know the Întristare guy said he doesn't consider his project "Christian black metal" because he talks about a variety of topics, but I mean, not every song you do has to be about Christianity in order to be Christian black metal. Eternal Emperor did that Sudwärts EP; Sabactani and Alfiginistair have songs about general sadness; Slechtvalk have songs about medieval/fantasy battles; I can't even fathom what 90% of Michael Mosher's songs are about (like Baptist Church's song "Talk to Corporate"???), and so on.

Added Michael Mosher's new project Victory. Blacknoise-ish stuff, not really black "metal" per-se.

ADDED: Black like Crost from Romania. Seems like one of those short-lived, one-off projects (as evidenced by the misspelling of their own name on YouTube...) The quality of the music is kind of low, but I have to say, I see a LOT of potential in this music, behind the poor mic quality, etc. I really hope these guys return someday, maybe with some different recording equipment, and really show the scene what they've got DID NOT ADD: Eliud, who just steal folk music/metal wholesale and [url= add some vocals/guitars over it.

Added Thysía, an old band of the guy from Forgotten Sorrow. They haven't posted anything on Facebook in over four years, but then again, the Hormusck guy hasn't posted in years either and that project is still active, so who knows?

It makes me sick seeing stuff like this, it happened with Wintersoul, Hortor are ripping people of, it´s just crazy seeing the "christian label" being thrown into dirt. But I guess it´s nothing new.

If I´m not mistaken, I´ve read somewhere on this forum that he plagiarized some other bands music.

If I´m not mistaken, I´ve read somewhere on this forum that he plagiarized some other bands music. The ones I can think of are: - Imperial Dusk - Eliud - Endelmoor - White Throne - Poems of Shadows (minor, used lyrics from Horde) I've never heard about any controversy with Wintersoul.

UNRELATED TO THE ABOVE CONVERSATIONI added Asperger Syndrome from Italy. This is the band Michael Wolfscall formed after Cavlarium. Again, not really that "metal", but clearly part of the "scene" regardless. Very gloomy DSBM / black ambient. It turns out they actually released a couple CDs, but none of them appear to be metal enough to add to Metal Archives.
