You've never heard of Unexpect? Ah I love that band! At first it just sounds like chaotic insanity but once you get to know the songs, they actually flow quite nicely. Their third (and latest) album - Fables Of The Sleepless Empire - is my favorite of theirs.

When listening to the song you posted, I was weirded out at first.
Then I liked it.
Then I started getting a slight headache...lol

Now I know they're old, but come on, even someone like Thomas who is hard of hearing can tell what's going on in Vials of Wrath. HAHA!! I will totally be a black metal snob when I'm 80, if I'm not hiding my Easter Eggs by then. There's a huge amount of population that subscribe to the "its not music if I can't understand what they're saying". Makes you wonder why they're listening to THE MUSIC.

I'd never heard of Unexpect. Avantegarde stuff. For some reason, if it was more black metal, it would really remind me of the band Sigh.

I'm half-debating playing some Verdelger for them...that would be fun... The situation with Verdelger is a little confusing. I have the actual CD(-R) of "In het holst van de zwarte nacht" and while the rips online make it sound like some kind of black metal / noise combo, the actual CD-R is mostly just black metal. I think part of the problem with ripping it is how loud the disc is. You could play a brutal death metal album, and then play Verdelger's demo, and Verdelger will probably be louder. It's crazy. I didn't know CDs could actually be that loud.

That's interesting. I don't think I've ever actually listened to it from a CD player, only from my computer with the ripped files.

Talented stuff! I couldn't help but notice that black metal was extremely fast and unblack was pretty slow.

I noticed that too. He may have done that to draw emphasis to the unblack lyrics.

Honestly, when he did the symphonic metal I thought of "unblack" metal.

Yeah, you'd pretty much have to slow it down, I guess. Depending on what end of the unblack metal scene you're talking about, examples can be kind of ...

Incidentally, I really love these three songs.

It's a blessing to upload music these days to ItsNickJx (one of my YouTube channels). I used to upload a bunch of different music there, starting in early-mid 2010. Some of it was just neutral music that I happened to like. But a lot of it, as I recall, was the "darker" stuff, I know I uploaded straight-up satanic bands there before, and I'm pretty sure I actually inadvertently uploaded a nazi song there at one point. Eventually I just didn't feel right having some of those songs there. As time went on, starting in 2014 I think, I started chipping away at the videos there until eventually only one remained, an Armageddon Holocaust song.
I don't remember how many videos I deleted, but I remember deleting a lot of videos. I know I lost over 100,000 views on that channel. I'm not very concerned though.
Today it's a Christian channel. Over 600 songs have been uploaded there since September 2014.

Sometimes when I'm bored I like to look through old treads on the Nordicfest board. So much trve kvltness there...I wish I could have been a part of that community during its golden age. Thomas advertised our forum there a while ago...I wonder why no one has bothered to join. We're a lot more active than they are right now.

Thomas advertised our forum there a while ago...I wonder why no one has bothered to join. We're a lot more active than they are right now. When Facebook started gaining momentum, the forum pretty much died. I'm confident most of the people that used to be there still chat with each other. Once upon a time, I was on Nordicfest about as much as the Blabberboard, maybe a little less... ...like today how I'm on the CMR about as much as here. I wouldn't recommend reading my old posts bro. The Nordicfest forum brought out the WORST in me and I SNAPPED on some people there. I honestly and genuinely HATED some members - especially that Shadrach dude from Eternal Emperor. I've since gotten over it, but yes, it went that far to HATE some of them. A good chunk of that was me being in the wrong and sometimes completely out of control. I don't want to stereotype and say Norwegians and Swedes are pricks because of the cultural differences, but it felt like trolling easily replaced constructive criticism any time "the American" said something. A few times it was that bold, others, it wasn't discussion, it was flat out mockery. Ask Kerrick - that was the first conversation him and I had was on the CMR and how I acted on the Nordic Fest Forum on those posts. Good Lord it was AWFUL. If any of them came, I'd be grateful as its water under the bridge.... ...however, I'm not exactly disappointed that the jerks from there didn't make it here. Except Levi, he was on the Blabberboard too and I miss and worry about that dude.

I've only been reading stuff from 2005 (seems that that's when the board was founded) and no one's gotten really angry at anyone yet. It does seem to be an ultra Euro-centric place though, so I could imagine that they'd pick on the Americans quite a bit...

Yeah, I don't like sharing personal information about myself anywhere, even though I inadvertently do sometimes. (You know from the Thanksgiving thread that I'm living in the US.) I don't want to say if I was born here or somewhere else, or what my race/ancestry/heritage is, because when you do, people treat you differently for it. And I don't mean sincerely trying to understand you or relate to you - I mean what Thomas said about how people treated him because of his nationality. None of it matters and is irrelevant to who we actually are as people and as children of God.
Worth noting though - keep in mind 1 John 3:15.

Our active userbase seems to consist mostly of Americans though there is a fairly strong European presence here. I'm happy to say that we haven't had any conflicts over regions.

I don't think they "insulted" me because I was American, so much that I think that's how some Norwegians and Swedes speak to each other, and me from a different culture wasn't used to that.
They probably thought it wasn't a big deal, where I found it disrespectful.
Issues weren't just with me though. When the Bleakwail dude turned, he and others fought a lot about it.

Why is it so hard for people - in particular, myself - to follow simple commands from God? The convictions He's put into my heart are very simple, yet I still manage to consistently go against them, to the point I'm back at the same transitional point I was at back in July, and a frame of mind only slightly better than what I was delivered from. But the good thing here is, I'm at least now aware of it, and properly know to avoid it. In the past, I would have just gone further into it, not having any kind of working solution in mind. Believing that God existed, but somehow not trusting in Him, and instead relying on my own solutions that never worked. Now I have true faith that God will help me through the things I face, guiding and protecting.

It is not a performance-based system like the law of Moses was. Don't put so much pressure on yourself, just relax. Rom. 8:1.

So I shaved two days in a row with an cheap and old razor [usually I use the electric but I was on vacation and didn't bring it] and it was a BIG mistake... It cut my face and because it was old and probably dirty, the cuts got infected and now it looks like I have these sores from giant zits all over my face. It's hideous. And it's really uncomfortable. Sigh... Just thought I'd share that with y'all because I'm sure you wanted to hear about it!

Yeah, shaving sucks! I feel for women who shave their legs and armpits though; that's so much more work! So I guess we shouldn't complain TOO much... That being said, I'm going to go into the doctor today to see about these sores. Maybe there's some cream or pill or something that'll make 'em go away quickly.

Had a horrible day today.
Something is wrong with my cat and its going to cost me $2,000 to save his life. (We're paying it - luckily we can take 2 years to pay it with no interest)
Kaytlyn has a toothache. My vacuum cleaner took a shit. I have stage 3 cancer.
I HATE this year already. HATE IT. 2016 can go get fucked.
