Do you do artwork for Books as well? One of these days I will be releasing an epic fantasy poetry saga book and may contact you at that time. Of course thats probably a long way off

I would do if the concept interested me and paid ok. I'v done cover art and interior art for a dozen or so metal zines in the past. I'v been asked by someone from the Christian metal scene if i would illustrate there new book in the near future, that will be really cool if it does eventuate. A Fantasy poetry saga sounds like a cool idea. I really like the idea of mixing full page illustrations with poetry, maybe having the poems broken into captions, scattered through the pages in ragged ripped scroll like boxes.

Yeah the best way to describe it is something in the vein of Robert E Howard's Solomon Kane poems, set to meter and rhyme. I've got a least a few more chapters before I have enough to qualify for a book. Will more than likely be an ebook unless I can afford printing at the time

William Zimmerman interviewed me YEARS ago for GRIM and my input into the Christian black metal scene. He was writing a book on the Christian black metal scene, but I don't think it ever materialized. Makes me wonder if I ever wrote on the subject, or just the fascination of black metal music in general, if anyone would care about what I had to say...

Will more than likely be an ebook unless I can afford printing at the time There's also the possibility of making a photocopy zine which is very cost effective if you make up master layout sheets that you take to the shop everytime you recieve orders to print on demand or throw a couple hundred at a printed batch. Zines have remained very popular as they are an easy way for people to get there stuff out and still promote it in a vibrant international zine scene through local zine fests and diverse zine review sites plus. Many Library's have several zine sections now days which gives another avenue of promotion. Sounds really interesting. I got a Solomon Kane graphic novel with a bonus short story in the back thats written like a poem yet layed out in comic panel art.

Its a fantasy novel series though it has a Christian metal influence in it by someone well known in the scene. I miss how old novels used to have an illustration for every chapter in the book. I think Eulogium is writing a book about unblack metal. It's amazing that no one has even done a book on the entire extreme Christian metal scene .

I've seen a few books on Christian hard rock/metal as a whole, but they probably skipped over CBM or only mentioned like Horde and Antestor. I've never read them, but I can't imagine that they covered much of the extreme metal scene in detail.
I'm excited to read Armando's book.

Thanks!!! haha. It's interesting too see which ones are liked best. There are many I'm stoked with. I think my favourite one might be the first CD cover commission i got from EEE Recordings for the Bedeiah -Crucifixition EP. I Spent hours noodling over that and am quite happy with the wood texture of the cross i got and the way i set everything up without showing Christ's face. Also I really like the Quest For Serenity - Whispers of Despair CD cover art, funny as it started out as a doodle while sitting on the couch watching tv and evolving out of the first random lines steering its direction. There are about another 12 cover artworks that have not come out yet as far as i know. Some of them probably never will yet some might and some may have and i didnt know. I discovered this one recently www.metal-archives.com/albums/Trastorno/Solemn_and_Glorious_Cult/378014 it's not a very clear way to see the art here though, it was for a DVD case wrap around cover. I should try and set up a simple website showing all the covers, there's actually quite a number of them now. Oh, I did not know we had an artist in our midst! You have any idea on how to find music of Trastorno? Tried to google it but didnt find anything else but the metal archives page.

Antivenom - Sacred Funeral www.metal-archives.com/images/3/3/7/3/337327.jpg?0730A black metal musician standing up next to a grave/cross representing one's former self. He's holding a cross, and there's a dove near the top left corner. It's a very powerful picture, and is the best image I've found to encompass what unblack is really about.

Cheers! yeah does encompass what unblack is about. Notice the cross he is holding the right way up was once an inverted cross hanging around his neck. Dead to self, alive in Christ!

I dig a lot in the piece. The atmosphere of the old forest with the earth tones, the preparedness/disposition of the main dude, the isolation of the impending battle, the danger from both the enemy and the environment ... it's awesome.

I cannot emphasize enough how much I enjoy the Quest For Serenity artwork. I printed some out, of course the best quality photos being found at some rando's website called unblackarchive or something, and put them up on my wall.
Edit: *insert necrothread meme and accompanying subtle evil chortle*
