Thank you both for the feedback. I am working on an updated version which incorporates more effects in the intro as well as some backing synths during the chorus. I will let you guys know when I finish my tweaking,

I've made a new track. I guess one could label it as depressive.

Sounds good Spiritussancti! I like it. Have you done more under the IHS name?
Kaiheijinshu, I'm listening now and am digging it. The keys in Slaying The Fiendish Brute remind me of this song from Bann (which is a good thing!):

Cool! I was just listening to their full-length today. They're not a Christian band but I emailed back and forth with their singer a fair bit some years ago. Apparently that song I posted (my favorite of theirs) is about a Christian martyr who they sing about quite reverently. Otherwise they sing about medieval stuff and so far as I know, are "Christian friendly."

Wow I really like those a lot. Do you have plans to release an album ever? Thanks man! I guess so. But I think it will take a while before I release any full-length album. I'll stick to demos and ep's for now. But I will probably be releasing alot more of them in the near future:)

Somna is beautiful SpiritusSancti! Very well done! Thank you. I'm glad that you find it beautiful. The title ''somna'' is the swedish word for ''fall asleep'', if anyone of you were wondering about the title or theme of the track.

I had no idea that they were still active. This sounds really good! I'm looking forward to it. Thanks for sharing this, eskhata.

Good to see you Eskhata!
I think this is my first time hearing Lo-Ruhamah. I dig the atmosphere and production. Those vocals are awesome too. ...its a little on the slow side for me to really get into it though.

Wow that is really good! I have The Glory Of God by them and could never get into it because of the silly sounding vocals. These vocals are excellent. I may need to give TGOG another shot...

Wait lo-ruhamah is on I Voidhanger? No way!!!! That's one of my favorite labels! Glad to hear a Christian band beat me to be the first on that label

That was... interesting. They changed the genre on MA to "death/black metal with post rock influences," which I can certainly appreciate. I'm with Kerrick, I'm going to have to give TGOG another serious listen.

Glad to hear a Christian band beat me to be the first on that label I'm still confused about this; haven't they said, flat-out, that they aren't a Christian band? Why do people consider them one?

ah to me any band that has Christians in it, it is a Christian band. Although there are multiple definitions for what makes a band Christian. Plus they were on Bombworks, known as a label that only releases music by Christians.

The Christian band concept is more of a "recipe", consisting of several ingredients, than a single ingredient.
A Christian can be in a band that's definitely not "Christian music". A band can have Christian lyrics, but the members aren't Christian. A band can say they're Christian and not be, or say they're NOT a Christian band, but people still consider to be Christian.
If NI says Lo-Ruhamah is not a Christian band, and Ben says they are... in my opinion, you're both right to some people, and you're both wrong to others. LOL

Wait, are they Christian people? Then that'd make more sense. I was somehow under the impression that they weren't, and that they just talked about vaguely Christian concepts (like certain doom metal bands)

I got so excited about Lo-Ruhamah's newest stuff that I started playing "The Glory of God" on my way to work this morning. Didn't finish it though, since the drive to work was surprisingly brisk this morning. Hopefully I'll finish it on my way home.
The bassist for the band is so awesome!
