Well I have been looking for a certain type of instrumentation in this style and this project doesn't have that, but beyond my current taste, this is some decent stuff, i'll definitely get back to it at a later time. Love the artwork, I wish my drummer wasn't so trve to not want cheesy artwork like that.

I dig the melodies and structure - but with it being instrumental, I think I'd have to be in a certain mood to really get into this. The compression in those drum cymbals is ridiculous. Its like the song bleeds out every time a crash hits. Overall, its more good than bad.

Kind of a double post from the now listening thread, but... even though this black metal is quite intense and without synth, I'd still put it in the "atmospheric" camp because of the melodies from the guitars. It covers the same emotional threshold as other stuff in this thread, but with more muscle... and I like it better because of that.
These guys are from Quebec, not France. (despite the french language)

YES! Both those bands are awesome! I'm still working on my Agalloch discography, but I do have a copy of Alrakis's only album. A1V has been alluding to a new album since last year and I just can't wait until it gets released!

↑ that's some well produced, well written and well played music!
However, it doesn't have the necessary speed to put this in my wheelhouse of music that blows me away.

Last night before falling asleep,I listened to this track all the way through and man I had a crazy intense dream last night, it was awesome! I wish I could remember it but my heart was pumping, I'm sure I moved around a lot too. Anyway I'm listening to a while bunch more space black metal. Saw that Nocturnal Iridescence made a post of the MA forum back in 2012 with some good suggestions. I loved Mundanus Imperium even though it was a slightly different thing frm stuff like Trist or Darkspace

This is probably borderline as far as being classified as atmospheric black metal, but it seems to be close enough to qualify for this thread. This was the first black metal song to which I recall listening when I was about fourteen or fifteen years old.

That sounds neat. Central Asia is an underrated destination, most likely because people think of Afghanistan and Pakistan when hearing about the -stan-suffixed countries. Regarding this band, I have read that they relocated to Germany, though I am not sure the reason behind it.

I'm pretty sure I know why. There was huge political turmoil in 2010. My family was supposed to move there but had to cancel the trip twenty days before our plane ride because the city we were to live in had huge riots. The Kyrgyz got fed up with all the Uzbeks living in their country (think Mexicans in America) and decided to literally burn down the houses that the Uzbeks lived in to force them to head back to Uzbekistan. And in the capital of Bishkek the was a coup d'état and the whole central government went under and a new government slowly came up. I'm pretty sure the band got out of the difficult situation when they moved to Germany.

That makes sense. I was aware of ethnic tensions in the region, but for some reason I did not associate that with why they might leave. Regardless, it is pretty good black metal.

wasn't too big into the guitar tone but overall it was good with excellent drumming. And I could figure out half way through that it was a female vocalist haha

It seems like a fair amount of Asian extreme metal and punk bands have female vocalists. A few Taiwanese bands come to mind, as well as Dazzle Vision from Japan.

This album is finally clicking with me and I am finding it incredible. I still think the drums are too high in the mix and the vocals are too hardcore, but still an excellent album saor.bandcamp.com/
