I know it sounds weird, but please pray for my cat Spoompy. She's 13 years old and has a bad uterine infection that is causing her liver to fail. She's having an emergency hysterectomy tomorrow morning. I've been through a lot with this cat so she's kinda my kid.

I've lost two cats in recent years, and I understand. I'll pray. (And God will know who I'm talking about despite my difficulty in saying your cat's name.)

You can also call her Moomah or Boom Boom.

Just got off the phone with the vet. Moomah is out of surgery. It went well. A cyst on her ovary made her be in heat all the time (that puzzle piece a hot coal in my lap!!) then her uterus died bringing an infection. The vet said it's up to her now in recovery. Still, it's pretty serious and said there's a 50/50 chance she'll make it.
The doc said Boom Boom was really mad at her. I took that as a good sign. She's a fighter.

Moomah survived the night. They gave her a lot of different antibiotics and it sounds like she's stable. She's resting comfortably now is what they told me. They want to keep her another night because she's not showing any interest in eating still. They're currently force feeding her since she needs nutrients.

She's home. The aftercare for her is pretty intensive. Lots of medication, force feedings and possible IV.
It's not easy to force feed a cat food or pills by the way...

She's hanging in there. Doesn't do much, but at least forcing pills/food is getting easier. I can get some purring out of her with a snuggle, so I think she's going to be OK.

Glad to hear things seem to be improving and not getting any worse.
