Hey, I followed a few links and found myself in this cool place, so I couldn't help but join. I downloaded Horde's "Invert the Inverted Cross" when I was fifteen, but I've only gotten back into extreme metal in the past four years. My main calling is as history teacher. I work at a religious school in a country that isn't open to Christ (though it's no North Korea). I'm also the moderator of r/christianblackmetal, which is not very active, but we do our best. My favorite metal artists outside the Christian scene are Burzum, Obsequiae, Panopticon, DSO, Myrkur, Winterfylleth, Uncle Acid & The Deadbeats, Windhand, and Iron Maiden. My favorite non-metal bands and artists are Wovenhand, The Streets, Sigur Ros, Gorillaz, and Oasis. I play the autoharp badly. I do a little game soundtrack composing from time to time. I have a passion for music by the church, for the church, or from the church. My blog (mostly inactive these days): thuribleofdarkness.blogspot.com/My last.fm page: www.last.fm/user/ThuribleOD

Welcome! Glad you're here! Please make yourself at home. I'm also the moderator of r/christianblackmetal NICE. I've shamelessly posted a few videos of mine (and I believe a blurb about this forum) there a while back. My Reddit user name is hguols. :B

Welcome! I looked over the subreddit and saw the Blackest Light compilation! I'm the guy behind "Bozkath" on that compilation I work at a religious school in a country that isn't open to Christ This is very interesting to me. What is that like? Is it a situation where the government tries to get involved, or do they allow the school to operate in peace? I play the autoharp badly. I do a little game soundtrack composing from time to time. This interests me as well. Has your music appeared in any finished games? And would you be willing to talk about that at all? Also, I've never met someone who played the autoharp before! Actually, I've never heard of that instrument before right now, but anyway. Pretty unusual for black metal, nice!

Keep a low profile, make friends with the local authorities, know which lines not to cross, and you mostly get left alone. As for the soundtracks, it was mostly game jam work, so very few of the games turned out playable. The one with the best soundtrack is hosted here: (https://globalgamejam.org/2016/games/stationary). Not sure if the game is playable, but the soundtrack is probably in the files somewhere. It's pastiche of the old Soviet-style stuff broadcast by Radio Pyongyang, and it turned out pretty catchy.

Not of which I am aware. I have posted a fair amount in r/christianblackmetal and recognize your username from some other music- and Star Wars-related subreddits.
