These days I am quite into fish and eggs (not eaten together, though). Oh me too bro. This restaurant local to me, every time I'm there, I always get the cornmeal breaded catfish. Its so delicious! I love eggs too - but I can't remember the last time I ate a hard boiled egg. Usually I do them over-easy with some toast.... or, I'll make poached eggs. My mom gave me (a while ago) this 6 egg poacher, and man, eggs are just delicious that way. I also season them up pretty good too. A little gourmet seasoning salt (from a little local shop a few hours drive where I live), some brown sugar, and some blackened seasoning (you bros were talking about Tabasco, this what I do for my spicy) to give them eggs a nice kick!

FOOOOOOOOOOOD, you say?Well, how about a little delicacy I call Death Metal Hot Dogs: soaked in mesquite smoke flavoring for up to a day, then grilled to a nice crunchy char on the outside?

The last few days I've made myself some boiled cabbage! Sounds weird to be excited about a vegetable, but this one doesn't give me an issues, since it can be boiled so soft, it falls apart easily. What I do first is get a sauce pan of water. I season it up decently, with some chicken/pork/beef stock, a little seasoning salt, some brown sugar.... to where the water tastes like a mild sweet and salty broth. I tear off the first few layers of cabbage to get rid of the more green leafy parts, and only use more of the cabbage head inside, that's lighter color, more firm. Even though my sauce pan is half full of the broth, I pack it full of torn cabbage, cause it shrinks as it cooks. I bring it to a boil, then leave it on a medium heat (still boiling) for a half hour. I'll scoop the cabbage out when its done, rather than drain the broth. Quite delicious! Omm nom nom nom.

So much for the no issues part. Last batch of cabbage I made, had me in utter agony for 2 days. It was so bad, I almost went to the hospital. I'm almost thinking I need to make a doctor's appointment for this. My list of foods I can actually eat just seems to be growing smaller and smaller...

Hardtacks anyone? Since I have developed an obsession for outdoor-fitted food I started to bake my own hardtacks some time ago. The first issue came out black as coal, but since generation two of home made hardtacks they are quite well and even my wife can't stop eating them. (Haven't taken some on a hike though.)

I made some Bambi Salad today. 2lbs of deer meat. Pork rinds and bread crumbs. Eggs (scrambled). Homemade Sweet Relish. Miracle Whip. Mustard. Milk. Various spices. Obliterated in a food processor, mixed and sitting in the fridge so all the flavors get to know each other better.
