Yeah. Monsters have different moves on the different game. NG3 he does this supernova type move that wrecks if you get hit by it.

I'm addicted to mobile gaming now and have been looking for a good game like this. I have been playing some HIT (Heroes of Incredible Tales, I know I know very mainstream) but was a little underwhelmed because honestly it's just too easy. I'm going to check out this game tonight while my wife watches a Christmas movie. Thanks for the suggestion!

Post your character name So Thomas and I can send you out Boon requests, and you can haul us along (computer AI controlled) to help you out on tougher things you might want help with once every 24 hours, like world boss fight......

I lost track of how many times new players said they came to Ire because HIT was too easy. You're lvl8 already! That's good! I've sent you a request. I never wait 24 hours to use a boon if I need them. 30 gems is the reset cost, something everyone should be able to afford if you do the Daily Challenges. (Worth it, especially if you have 30 boons) The game is very grindy - one of the reasons I like it so much. You guys ever play any of the Monster Hunter games? S+ is the final frontier and has intense forge requirements, but I think it's worth it. More for the journey than the destination...

Hey thanks for the info! Sounds like devs are staying busy and that's a good thing. How can I tell if a boon is available? Is it the color coded indicator next to your name (red for no green for yes)? Or is that just telling me if you're online? I honestly can't figure out how to use a boon but I wondered if that was because the option wasn't there because the tutorial already forced me to use one yesterday.

Use a boon by pressing the purple button when you stand next to the shield at the start of a mission. It costs 5 bone shards.
Your boon list, the red circle means their offline. Green circle means they're online. It says in green text "Summon available" or in yellow text the hours until they become available again.

Yeah I finally figured it out lol so I can't choose which boon it summons then? Can I use each boon once a day or once a day period? I'm going to bombard you with questions because at work I can't access any gaming websites lol honestly I didn't see a good in depth guide site online, any suggestions? I am seriously digging this game, I think the quest for a good Android arpg is finally over. Glad I saw this thread.

Though I do also like Eternium: Mage and Minions for a Diablo clone. It's really good and it does get hard at higher levels.

Boons summoned at shields are random from the ones available from your list. Once you summon a boon, it sets a timer for 24 hours until you use the boon again. You can instantly use all your boons again if you spend 30 gems. (Reset button is in your boons list)
Ask away! I don't have all the answers, but I've learned a few things from other players, a good chunk of my answers will be gamer opinion.
This is like Monster Hunter in that it's very grindy. You got to replay missions and world boss and the rift to collect these little pieces which you can forge into something better. Echo (autoplay) is mandatory to get good gear. (That purple button next to the church)
I can leave my phone alone for hours a day. Perfect time to let echo grind missions for me while I'm doing something else away from my phone.

Okay then, a few more questions for you (hehe):
What is gold ore used for? The tooltip says it is for selling but I didn't trust it so I've been saving all mine. Is it used for crafting or anything?
Also, how important is it to get the petrified merchant every single time? What is the loot pool for it? Can it drop really good items, and can it drop any of the loot that is contained in the stage description?
Also, do the monsters' level scale with yours, i.e. you can play any stage at any level and have a challenge and get decent exp?
I'm level 18, coming along nicely I feel like. Thanks for your help and insight and patience for a noob haha!

Oh and, when using Echo what stages does it play? Just the one you enter, and do it over and over? Or does it do each stage in numerical order?
I know I know, I'm needy. Lol.

Thanks for your help and insight and patience for a noob haha! Sell your ores, that's what they're for. They'll give you gold depending the ore's rank, and you'll use the gold primarily when upgrading your gear. I burned through better than 200k gold today upgrading items to A rank. Sometimes there's something worth purchasing with gold in the black market, too.......but my experience is that it's primarily used in the crafting process. Petrified merchant as far as I can tell can drop any weapon/armor in the loot pool for that stage, upgrade shards, and gold. Sometimes you get the good stuff, sometimes it gives you a rank D armor shard. If you can see the birds or butterflies, it's worth grabbing, but the game is so grindy that if it's not obvious, you might be better off skipping it simply because the time spent searching adds up over several runs, and the more runs you can get in under echo, the better. As far as I can tell, things will scale to the level you are when you enter a stage the first time. I'm level 44, and if I was to run levels from the first play thru ("New Game"), I can kill boss monsters in the 3rd chapter with one whack. Not worth my time unless I'm trying to farm things to sell for gold. 3rd chapter on the current play they can still be mildly challenging. The bigger hassle is when you encounter a computer AI "corrupt" that's around your same level. Echo will continually run the level you select. Great if you're farming something specific. Best benefit I've found is to set it up on the hardest difficulty stage your character can cope with that has what you're looking for, to max XP and gold. It will STOP running if you fill your inventory slots, so keep an eye on that because the echo timer still counts down. You'll wanna expand your inventory a couple of times to max echo's effectiveness.

Sometimes there's something worth purchasing with gold in the black market, too.......but my experience is that it's primarily used in the crafting process. Very true. Speaking of something of worth at the black market, the stronger you get, the more you'll use it. When you reach to forging S+ weapons/armor, you need quite a few A ambers. These will take FOREVER to grind if you composite smelter ambers (which are C). Takes 7 B's to make an A and 10 C's to make a B. When an S+ weapon takes 15 A ambers, not to mention the gold required to composite, it seems a very uphill battle. ...or you can just buy an A amber for 112,500 gold from the black market, and grind gold to get them. I think its much easier that way, especially since the shop refreshes stock every hour. Hoping to get all my armor S+ in the upcoming weeks. 3 pieces to go... The Petrified Merchant doesn't drop any equipment, only Gold Ores (to sell) or weapon/armor shards. Merchant boxes drop much better stuff depending on which game you're on. After you beat New Game, there's NG+1, 2 and 3. On New Game or NG+1, the drops aren't very good, but common drops on NG+3 are A gold ores, sometimes 2 B's... sometimes an S. Last time I sold after echo ran for two hours, I had over 100k, just in the drops I sold. One of the reasons I like manually farming 3-1 on NG+3 is its a short stage, enemies aren't that hard to kill (meadowmen are slow) and the boxes are easy to grab every time, as they're in 1 of 3 places. Between stage gold and selling drops, I can make thousands in minutes. As for echo farming, for the longest time, I would have echo run 1-1 on the highest game I was on. ...because echo would actually hit the box every time. When I got stronger, 5-8 NG+2 is where its at. Simple math, even though echo only hits the box 33% of the time on that mission, its 900 gold every minute or two. (very short mission, boss spawns after killing 1 enemy) That's a nice amount in-pocket to come back to after two hours! Very true. Excellent advice. As far as I can tell, things will scale to the level you are when you enter a stage the first time. Not worth my time unless I'm trying to farm things to sell for gold. 3rd chapter on the current play they can still be mildly challenging. The bigger hassle is when you encounter a computer AI "corrupt" that's around your same level. Enemies on a stage don't scale to the player's level or equipment. The difficulty per enemy per stage depends on what game you're on. Enemies on New Game +2 are significantly easier than those on NG+3, but you get better rewards the harder the road. There's no way I would grind easier levels unless I was a few ticks away from getting an achievement. (ie: you get 10,000 gold for killing Kerr 10 times, so I went to New Game (where I could kill Kerr in 1 combo) and got my reward in just a few minutes.) I grind where echo can clear the mission at least 85% of the time, smaller stage the better (quicker runs means more money). Thanks for your help and insight and patience for a noob haha! I know I know, I'm needy. Lol. No matter what game we're playing, we were all needy noobs at one time! Do you guys have any questions about skills? I hope you're utilizing them, because they definitely enhance your character. Regenerate makes life sticks heal you more. Discovery gives you bonus drops at the end of the mission. Incapacitate for instance is quite useful against bosses. If you fight the main bosses (Prowler, Lyrius, Dainn, Bloodwed, Munin, Rifthound, Shadow Soldier, etc.) you probably noticed a growing yellow meter above enemy health as you attack them. (the white meter below their health as you attack is when you stagger the enemy, but when incapacitated, they're knocked out - and if its a world boss, you can carve them) The higher your incapacitate, the sooner you'll "knock them out and in some cases (I do this with a high level Prowler) I can carve them twice. My guy, I have a decent (65%) increase for Max HP, which makes another skill I have (Life charge) more useful. (If my Life charge is at 40%, then the first time my HP reaches 0, I'll instantly get 40% of my health back.) I'd spent many hours farming for rift keys and spalls from the world boss (rift bosses drop accessories), so I could compile those pieces into something better.

Okay I'm going to have to digest all this lol I'm definitely noob because I didn't realize there were different difficulties. I must have missed that setting, or is it unavailable until I clear all stages first? I'm on chapter 4 I think, going kind of slow because Animation Throwdown is still my main game for now, but I think it's safe to say I've found a home for my ARPG needs for a while.
Oh and I've already upgraded my inventory capacity several times, I love lots of space. I'm up to 140 max I think lol.
Thanks for all the detailed and thoughtful replies. Hopefully I can get some time in later, have Bible study at mom's tonight though.
Peace, homies!

I saw that! I took you on a Lyrius world boss fight. I dig your dual wield! Swords are slow, but good for stagger. I totally play "Fashion Souls" (a term coined from the Dark Souls series, where you gear based on appearance alone) and since giant massive swords are my style, that's what I use. Lances are a great way to play, but the moveset is more complicated. I got 9 more A ambers, I'm currently grinding to get this extra piece of armor to S MAX so I can get the cuirass I'm wearing to S+ I swear, its longer to grind gold/shards to lvl up equipment than it is to grind ambers.

Okay so I need monthly mileage explained to me. I get that it's currency but is that all? You can only get it from the shop, or you get a small amount every month, or what?

Mileage is ONLY gained by making real money purchases in the shop.
I got the bloodied cape when it was $2.99 in the store. Now you can only get it by spending 10,000 mileage.
The only mileage purchase I've made is 1,000 for gold. (It's 30,000 gold which is a lot for a new player, meh for me now.)

The grind to get Bmax stuff to A isn't so bad, but the grind to get to Amax items AND the things to composite for S.....hoooooo boy.
Yikes.

The grind to get Bmax stuff to A isn't so bad, but the grind to get to Amax items AND the things to composite for S.....hoooooo boy. Yikes. That gets better as you progress through the game(s). I don't even think twice about getting something to S anymore. ....but S+ is definitely the big grind. Okay so from what I'm seeing the only thing the cape does is give one skill shard slot? Are there no other capes in the game? There are several capes in the game. Their only purpose is for looks and slots. The bloodied cape, pale cape and Lyrius cape in the shops only have 1 slot. You can win a Warrior's cape and maybe another one from Penitence that has 3 slots. One of the "staff" accounts had a "Pride of the Scout" cape - exclusive to staff members I'm guessing.

Gotcha so as long as there are other obtainable capes with equal gear benefit I'm fine with that. I'm obsessive over gear in arpg's lol.
