Is anyone familiar with this Project?
Quotation from the Discogs-Site www.discogs.com/de/%C3%AEntristare-The-gathering-of-like-believers/release/11095676 : "Intristare is not a Christian Band...we do not want to be piled into the category of "Un-Black Metal" because that puts a limit on what we can talk about. We do not want to shove our beliefs in your face and condemn you for not thinking like us, that is not what Christianity is about...its not a bout a long list of Do's and Don'ts......it is love and compassion for anyone in any walk of life and with this release we talk about our beliefs and what we see to be truth. it is who we are. but do not be surprised if we also do the opposite and stray from the Christian Centered themes. like i said, we do not want to be caught in the "white/Un-Black Metal" Box."
My evangelical Feeling wants to question some parts of the theology but I can live with it. Some lyric lines are boldly Christian, others are not in any way.
Musically, they play raw BM with ambient and atmospheric parts and even other influences. I like it - The Album "The gathering of like believers" is pretty solide imo.

I never heard of them but I listened to The Gathering of Like Believers and I really, really enjoyed it. I plan on listening to more of their stuff -- thanks!

I dig the sound. I wish there were real drums though, but the machine isn't bad... though its either the compression or the drum mix that makes this sound "clicky". I consider this to be good, quite good.... but I'm not overwhelmed with awesomeness. There's some really good riffs here though. Good emotion. I could do without the folky vibes though. : / Intristare is not a Christian Band...we do not want to be piled into the category of "Un-Black Metal" because that puts a limit on what we can talk about. We do not want to shove our beliefs in your face and condemn you for not thinking like us, that is not what Christianity is about...its not a bout a long list of Do's and Don'ts......it is love and compassion for anyone in any walk of life and with this release we talk about our beliefs and what we see to be truth. it is who we are. but do not be surprised if we also do the opposite and stray from the Christian Centered themes. like i said, we do not want to be caught in the "white/Un-Black Metal" Box." I see it as a lack of creativity that bands (Christian or not) think the only lyrical options Christian projects have are "throat shoving beliefs" or "condemning non believers / hating evil". I've proven with Orationem that you can stick 100% to the topic of faith, without even TOUCHING on either one of those. ....though my view on the "unblack/white metal box" doesn't really have much to do with lyrical themes. The VAST majority of my view on this, the secular black metal scene (and sadly, many Christians) agree that Christians have no place in black metal. Subscribing to the "unblack/white" banner only cosigns that ideology. It might have the illusion of paving our own way, through our own Christian standard, but to those who see otherwise, its just passively complying with their view to "get out of black metal"... and giving the detractors EXACTLY what they want. Not only do I disagree, but I feel the right to BOLDLY claim black metal on behalf of Christianity... BOLDLY to the point of being a jerk about it. Though their bandcamp bio having this: Is a pretty bold tell in itself, as to where their heart is...

I did listen to his EP and single "Blood moon" a few months back, also checked out a few more songs on his bandcamp now that you´ve posted it. It´s pretty good "dsbm" the drums do not bother me, because the riffs and vocals carry the atmosphere quite well.
Also about being against this "unblack metal" think, I´m not a big fan of the term either. I get what Horde had in mind when he came up with that term but for me it´s either black metal or not.

I am super picky when it comes to the Black Metal Genre.
I agree with Intrastare and his take on "Un-Black Metal." I also agree with some of what Thomas is saying. Although, I am not sure what you are disagreeing with. Can you please expand? Thank you
