The moment I start listening I feel like I'm on the field of battle. Epic this will be, for this battle will change the fate of time. I hear the deep growls of an experienced warrior pounding in my ears to charge and not back down and the high screams that are made during the assault of the enemy gates. Where many of the Unblack metal bands I listen to have a more blended riff of the unblack metal guitars, I actually hear each individual sound cange creating a powerful rythym boost to the riffs themselves. The drums are solid and have excellent technique and I felt the bass on my headphones actually rumble, a trait so rare yet valued in mixing the drums with the other tracks. I hear each individual sound that makes me believe this album was professionally mastered. As for the lyrics, Since I can hear pretty much all the words clearly though in an awesome scream with decent range of highs and lows, both unique, in which unique is the word I would say about this album and that is always a good thing to someone who collects unblack metal. I did however miss the ethereal symphonic synthesizers found on the first track, hoping they would continue on through every track, yet the symphonic touches picked up in "Of Scars and Soil" and continued on but I was still far from dissapointed from the release. The Season of Death is an album worth collecting and definitely for the battle seasoned warriors of Unblack it is a surge of the Christ which overcomes in battle. I give this release a 4 out of 5 stars. symphonyofheaven.bandcamp.com/releases

Dude! Awesome. I was actually just wondering about this album earlier today, so I was especially glad to read your review. I am listening now (and, indeed, enjoying the synth in the first track).
