Fast paced, melodic, with a small touch of both brutal and raw. It's the band The Slave Eye and their new release of unto hades. If I took the vocals out other old school Christian Black Metal bands came to mind until the riffs come in that automatically prove the guitars are from The Slave Eye. I have always loved the vocals of this band and It's a pretty in your face delivery of good unblack delivery. It's mixed well, yet it does have the touches of raw that blend sounds somewhat together. I actually expected this from The Slave Eye. They show they can indeed do well with melodic and also brutal switching and still keep your head banging. It's not all over the place, but presses onward with agression. There aren't any symphonic strings, yet the guitars played take that place to give it a good atmosphere. The tracks all have The Slave Eye approach that I saw in their single debut Black Rust. That being said My favorite track by this band is still the track gorgon tongue off of the first album, but that doesn't make me dissapointed in this album, rather Unto Hades compliments the first two track release of Black Rust. Unto hades has six tracks as an Ep but you could have put these six tracks attached to black rust in that order and you would feel you had the first album from The Slave Eye. I have spoken to these guys on facebook and they are really cool. The lyrics are fitting for the tracks and style. I would definitely recomend this album to buy and add to your collection. I give it a 7.5 out of ten for atmospheric Unblack.

I'd agree with your description of their sound and say I really love this album!
For me it's a much better release than the new A Hill To Die Upon. Why the comparison? I feel like The Slave Eye meets that wild, abrasive blackened death metal sound that AHTDU used to play. The things that drew me to those first three AHTDU albums is why I love this. It's fearsome, has the riffs, the abrasive, gritty vocals, and adds in some fantastic solos and rock like rhythms are mixed in. I really find the whole thing wonderful! It strikes a great balance of blasting and heavy riffing. The new A Hill To Die Upon lost its ferocious nature. I hope these guys continue in this style. They rescued my disappointment with the new AHTDU. I've been listening to this album for months with regularity. One of my favorites in quite some time.
As a side note, I'm not totally down on the new A Hill To Die Upon but they went from a band high on my favorites list to one I'll now just be curious about come their next release. I would have said they were highest amongst bands that would attract a secular audience. However I wouldn't recommend Via Artis Via Mortis. It's too simple, dare I say, boring in spots.

Couldn't agree more that AHTDU's latest was a bit lackluster. I listened to it again yesterday and, if you ignore their past catalog it is actually enjoyable but in light of their previous (amazing) work, it left me wanting. I mean, listen to A Jester Arrayed in Burning Gold (from just ONE album earlier) and then listen to the new album. It's totally different. Anyway, back to the original topic: Unto Hades EP is indeed stellar. I agree that it compliments Black Rust very well. Black Stone Idol is probably still my favorite track but they are all really good. Best new CBM act to come out in a while.

Recurring lyrical theme seems to be the infernal nature of the Islamic religion. I couldn't agree more. There are plenty of false religions but if you study Islam it becomes apparent that this particular one is spawned straight from the mind of HaSatan. It's a counterfeit of the truth and designed to steer man away from the trve YHVH.

I watched a video talking about the seven heads of the beast and the seven main religions of time. Egypt empire which founded the african mythology with osiris and isis, greece, rome, persia, etc. But the seventh was the ottoman empire of which Islam founded with allah and fallen star, complete with the Ishtar star, the fact that Islam is the only religion to guilloutine (beheading) their victims like written about the antichrist religion in the bible. Mecca sits in the midst of the desert of which Christ specifically said don't go out in the desert if someone claims to be the messiah. Mecca is situatued among three mountains in the desert. On their red headbands their have a symbol of allah and the numbers 6 6 6 on it. The bible says mystery babylon the great is drunk of the wine of the desert and islam is the main oil industry capitol, as well as sex trafficing. The seventh head of the beast and the Whore of Babylon, Islam and Mecca. In catholic demonology with deeper studies you can see how Islam is the Anti-Christ religion.

Islam was not one of the major religions of the time. It was not founded until approximately 610 AD, over five hundred years after the writing of the Book of Revelation.
