Here's 1 tick further down the rabbit hole. Where do you get your groceries? Does the president/director/manager/cashier believe in God? ....because if they don't, you're in fact "supporting" people who "don't honor God".
I'm going to stop with my examples there. If I keep going, Christianity would have a rigorous content-screening approval process even for brushing teeth.
The long of the short behind Christians being "in" this world without being "of" it is.... how does it affect your faith? If it affects your faith negatively, doesn't matter how minuscule, it should be avoided. If it doesn't affect your faith at all, doesn't matter how massive it is, it will be a non-issue.
I've since left ALL theology discord channels I was in because I noticed it was starting to affect me ala toxic environment. (but what was allowed there was outside of Christian viewpoints) Jamming out to some killer black metal that I quite frankly don't even know what the exact lyrics are and don't care - doesn't affect me. (even though I assume it is satanic because of artwork and track names) I just spin it, love it, move on with my day.

Is your grocery store covered in pentagrams and titled "Satan's Groceries from Hell"?

I shouldn't even be thinking about where the line is. Normally I'd say "fair enough" and drop this, but I mean, you... did kind of start this, and you're saying it in a discussion about where the line is, and you're continuing to be involved with said discussion even after this post that I'm quoting, so...? I think it's fair to expect a response to my last post...

I know you don't hold to that line of thinking yourself but, for the reasons you stated, that's why I do. If that's why you do, then that is good for you. When I got saved I started subscribing to the Ephesians 4:29 thinking, "only what builds up and edifies" and the Ecclesiastes 7:5 motto "It's better to hear the rebuke of the wise than listen to the song of fools." I don't even listen to Christian bands unless the lyrics do something for me. It's not worthwhile as mere entertainment. I try to spend my time on meaningful things. I want to be consistent and thoughtful for my children and our family. Ephesians 4:29 has to do with talk.... like what comes out of our mouth shouldn't be "unwholesome" but build up and edify. ....but I see nothing wrong with someone applying this to their own standards regarding music. Making it a requirement for other's standards, again, I respectfully disagree. The #1 reason I'm told by local friends/family/my own wife as to why they don't like extreme metal is because "I can't understand the words", likewise, the reason they don't like instrumental music is "because there's no words". I must prioritize my enjoyment of music differently because I could care less about lyrics/words, with any lyrical theme. The exception for me would be my own music I've made. (Orationem, Ankou Awaits, etc.) ...but it is not an exception because it is Christian themed. (or not Christian themed, in the case of Ankou Awaits) I have a general motto that's in 7th grade classroom at school but it bears out in my every day life as best I can. It says "Not what is OK, not what is Good but what is Best... I will think... I will say... I will do." I wouldn't listen to "that stuff" at all if it wasn't the "best" music. XD

Wouldn't the owner of "Satan's Groceries from hell" go to the same hell as the atheist running "Family Friendly Groceries" down the street? :B I can tell you which store I'd rather go to for Halloween stuff though. XD

Making it a requirement for other's standards, again, I respectfully disagree. Hopefully I made my post clear that I do not make it a requirement for other's standards. I specifically mentioned grace for others who see things differently. I believe your last line above may not have been directly related to my post. I just wanted to clarify on my end. Thomas, I genuinely thank you for your perspective on this. I have close friends that feel the same as you do and I've heard your opinion on this many times between here and the CMR board years back. I've appreciated that this discussion had arisen without much in the way of discord and division. I hope it can close in a manner like that.

Is it creepy to call a woman “young lady?”

Is it creepy to call a woman “young lady?” It could be, it also could not be. I think context and tone would make all the difference.

I had an interesting argument with a girl last week about that. It was a video about stereotypical questions on Metalheads, I complimented one of my favorite YouTubers, a girl made a creeper joke on me, and I got angry. We had a little argument, and we ended in good terms. I felt better afterwards. It is just one of those moments.
