Random bit of excitement in my life... So there's this local instrumental post-metal band I really love: girih Seen them live several times, always a great show. I saw them again last Saturday, had a chat with their drummer, and discovered he's the worship leader at a church in the town next to mine! It was so nice to meet someone in person who shares my faith AND my love of really heavy music!! My wife & I have been searching for a new church to attend, so we're definitely adding his church to our list to check out.

Defining Christian very broadly, here are a number of Christians who are in secular bands or are secular artists. Keep in mind that I'm not making any judgments about who is a "true" Christian or the quality of an artist's faith.
Blackie Lawless (W.A.S.P.) Dave Mustaine and that other guy (Megadeth) Justin Bieber Kanye West Elijah Tammu (Panegyrist)* That one guy from Monotheist (Monotheist) Alice Cooper Nicko McBrain (Iron Maiden) Sufjan Stevens Julien Baker Chance the Rapper Seth and Scott Avett (Avett Brothers) I think one member of mewithoutYou is a Quaker Kerry Livgren (Kansas) Head and Fieldy from Korn
I'm sure there are lots of Christians in the indie rock scene who don't stick out since indie rock isn't generally hostile to Christians the way punk and metal are.
