I'm talking about the amazing mewithoutYou, of course--my favorite band for the past 12 years and the greatest rock music act to grace the face of the earth. They're calling it quits next year. Their sound is impossible to describe, so I'll post my favorite song from each album other than their first. January 1979, from Catch For Us the Foxes.www.youtube.com/results?search_query=mewithoutyou+january+1979 "O Porcupine" from Brother, Sister. Probably their most representative song. "King Beetle on a Coconut Estate" from It's All Crazy, It's All False, It's All a Dream, It's All Right. A lot of people did not like this album because the band changed their style. I think it's still pretty killer. "Elephant in the Dock" from Ten Stories. Probably my least favorite album after their debut, but still better than 95% of all other albums ever made. "Mexican War Streets" from Pale Horses. My second favorite album after Brother, Sister."Winter Solstice" from untitled, the album where Aaron finally learned to sing.

something about a sweater... That would be "In a Sweater Poorly Knit," the last track on Brother, Sister. Not sure how Julien would break up given that she's a solo artist. I guess she could break up boygenius or put Forrister on something more than an indefinite hiatus. I really hope either mewithoutYou or Julien plays at Audiofeed this year.
