Can you please pray for me? Depression, hatred (this one is new for me), and lust destroy, bit by bit, always advancing. Praying for you right now.

First, thanks for the prayers, guys. I feel better about a lot of things, and the main source of my anxiety seems to have gone away. Not sure if it's gone away permanently but at the very least, it has for awhile. This is one of many examples of God answering prayers that I forgot I even sent or requested. Thomas - nah, I haven't been getting out for walks very much since I've been sick. I agree though, they do help clear my mind, and I really want to get back to walking (and exercising in general) once my health situation is finally figured out.
Warbound - I sympathize with you. Praying, man.

Can you please pray for me? Depression, hatred (this one is new for me), and lust destroy, bit by bit, always advancing. I got a little bit of advice. I don't mean to sound preachy, so take what you need and leave the rest... Where there's a vice, there's a virtue to counteract it. (likewise, if there is a problem, there IS a solution to it) I've found myself angry over not getting what I wanted or losing what I had - the root of that anger being fear itself. Luckily, faith can smash fear to bits, with the proper footwork.
Ironically, I think there's one virtue that could help you out if you kick it into high gear.
Patience. (embracing "this too shall pass")
I can remember in my life being in a situation where I'm around someone and I found myself HATING them. (working in a recovery home with an unruly resident immediately comes to mind) I had someone tell me to be patient, and in good time, things always take care of themselves. Sure enough, 2 months of putting up with that jackass, he left and was out of my life forever.
Working at a contact center, I've had people threaten to come to my house and slit my throat, call me every name except a white male... yet being patient enough, it resolved itself. (they can't get me through the phone, and there's a huge chance at the conclusion of the call that I'll never speak to them again)
I really don't think the answer to lust is getting a woman / getting married. My lust problems in the past, I tried that... and sex 3 times a day for years still left me with a void. Myself, when lust had me in its grips, I did two things. - I did something else - ANYTHING else to get lust off my mind. Mow the yard. Call my mom. Play music. Exercise. ANYTHING... - I waited (patience) for that "craving" to pass
...and it did.
Warbound, I am so glad to see you posting more often once again. It really makes my day to see you. I'll be praying for your release, your peace, and ultimately, to be happy and spiritually fulfilled.

Thomas, thank you so much for your thoughtful message. I really appreciate your time and care in thinking through and writing the note, which was very helpful. "...take what you need" -- I took all of it, gratefully. (I've screenshotted your post for safe-keeping.)
CW and others taking the time to pray or read/think, thank you so very much.

I'm a little late posting this as this happened about a week ago, but I didn't get enough information on this until today. Please pray for my cousin's family. My cousin Brandy (who was my age) died suddenly. She was at home and told the family that she was going to take a shower. A few minutes later, they heard a thud. Her brother (my cousin Brian) is a firefighter, certified in CPR, and did it until the ambulance arrived... but she was already gone. A grim reminder that none of us are making it off this planet alive and we could go on to the next life at any minute... live for the day people!

My friend woke up today. Long, hard road ahead. Wish I could get over to visit, but my 3 youngest though they were in a remake of The Exorcist Monday night/Tuesday morning, and I'm not about to risk hauling those germs over to my buddy's compromised immune system......

"when the doctor mentioned something about Star Trek, he flipped him off" - AAAAHAHAHAHA!!! I'm the same kind of patient! Much to the horror of my wife. LOL
So glad he's made some progress. Today is a prayer day for me (what day isn't a prayer day?) so I'll continue to pray that God's will be done and Chris's health continues to improve!

Hello guys. I have a serious problem with praying. I am not sure but it is very long time that I have not prayed to the lord. It is very hard for me to reach the God. Please say a prayer for me since I am struggling not to lose my faith. Thank you

Praying right now for you my friend. May God make His presence abundantly clear to you.
If I may, I recommend you read through the Psalms. There are many instances when God seemed so distant from David (and the other authors) yet he prayed regardless. I think there is a lot of wisdom and encouragement to be found in them.

I prayed for you last night Franz. For the longest time I thought prayer had to be formal and a certain length, and had to be with your hands folded while you're on your knees. ...but really, its easier to do than even talking to people. "God, please help me get closer to you." - just saying that in your head while you're eating breakfast is a prayer! It might seem weird if you're not used to it, but pretty soon, it becomes natural to ask/thank/praise God with your words and thoughts.

Well I know all about this I used to talk with God long discussions but now I have this hard times when he became silent... or I stopped hearing and also stopped talking... it's like living in a house with sister you don't talk with only sometimes you meet her and say hello and she says hello... it's hard to describe. Maybe more in personal messages through facebook or email? But really thank you for praying.
