I'm really starting to get into these guys. They play pretty "standard" death/black, as far as genres go, but they're REALLY good at what they do. They've been around since 1998, and yet... it seems they don't get nearly as much attention as other "older" bands. Here's a link to their most recent release on VoGR!

Great topic! I have that album and agree it is definitely above average! I didn't know that they have been around that long though. I might have to look into their older stuff. Any particular older release I should check out?

The only other one I've really listened to so far is the split with Sabbatariam, and I like that a lot.

I like these guys as well, and got my hands on a disc and a download when the album came out. The lineup and instrumentation/vocals sound great. Awesome bold lyrics. Yes. ...but I would say it works for them. My opinion (which could be unpopular) is, what doesn't work for them, is the production. For starters, the recording is spectacular. Supreme studio quality. I mean, I would say the quality is comparable to what would be heard from a major metal record label release. As contradictory as it sounds, one of the main aspects that have me loving underground metal, is the imperfect (perhaps even flawed) production. (more secular bands seem to "understand" this than Christian ones, but that's a discussion for another thread at another time) Especially with extreme metal, I want my listening experience to be one of digging and discovering. ie: "lesser production", its hard to hear, but I hear enough initially to know its good. I "study" it to hear more, and when I "find" what they were doing, I feel "rewarded" for the discovery. I enjoy the music more because of it, because of the adventure I had uncovering all the goodies. If you were doing a 20 Easter Egg hunt and opened your eyes to see 20 eggs lined up in a row at your feet... well, that's kind of how I feel with super production and extreme metal. I listened to the Enemy of Satan album and I like it. I listened to Enemy of Satan live (recorded on a cell phone, posted on YouTube) and I LOVE it. (yes, the difference between like and love is the "sound quality") Everyone is free to disagree with that. Pretty sure everyone will. LOL ...but that's how I roll with my love for extreme metal.

I haven't heard much Demoniciduth but I agree with Thomas that "unproduction" can often make black metal more enjoyable. The high production completely turned me off from Departe's full-length, but their demo before that was incredible. I like having to dig into the music a little bit.
