I posted this on Facebook and wanted to share it here too. I previously had information that first-wave band Apostasy, from Colorado formed in 1994, the same year as everything other early band started, right? But talking to a friend of theirs, it turns out everything started much earlier! They formed in 1991, two years before Belzidum were rumored to have formed, and THREE years before Vomoth or Horde/Beheadoth. (Antestor formed earlier but played doom/death metal.) Apostasy's first release was "Darker Than Thou", in 1993. A year before Vomoth's V/A compilation and Horde's "Hellig usvart", and three years before Belzidum's demo. For context in the secular scene, 1991 is the year Emperor, Immortal, and Burzum all started. Euronymous of Mayhem was killed by Varg two years *after* Apostasy were formed. Gorgoroth wouldn't form at all until a year later. Dimmu Borgir and Ulver wouldn't form at all until two years later.

Wow! If it's legit; you found a cult classic so underground it took the underground 24 years to find out it existed; but now the task at hand; finding an original copy, lol.

Legend tells that there was this tribe in South America who heard a copy of unblack metal on a tape player from a researcher who made into the Amazon tapes; so they decided to record an EP of the ultimate Unblack; but then after they made that one copy a monkey grabbed the cassette and ran off into the jungle, never to be seen again.
Every collector's collection is incomplete without someone owning that tape! And is it right to you, that Unblackened Praise into the Lord God Almighty, should be hidden somewhere; never to be heard or enjoyed! We say we are warrior's, but how can we sit idly by while there is the unknown gem of power hidden somewhere deep in a jungle!
Arise Fellow Brethren; let us embark upon this quest! For God and for Unblack Metal!!!
(Now does anyone and a few tens of thousands of dollars to fund this expedition or should I start a gofundme account?)

What's your rarest nocturnaliridescenceWhoah, How? I didn't know owning that was even possible!!! nocturnal: I know a guy who knows a guy, And that guy was best friends with a guy who hung out at a public library and one day the public library guy saved the life of a dog about to get run over by a passing car. The owner of the dog was kinda broke, and he gave the library guy the only thing he had on him, his demo. It was one of 2 copies. And that's were the copy came from.

The rarest "official" thing I own is a limited version of Eternal Fire's "Eternal Winter" CD (2009, EEE Recordings). There are 3 or 4 versions out there, but this particular one was canceled shortly after release, so only around 5 copies exist. But overall the rarest thing I own is one of a kind, a gift from my friend in Animae Capronii, a special version of his "Shadow Shining Petals..." album, with unique artwork and layout just for my copy. nocturnal: I know a guy who knows a guy, And that guy was best friends with a guy who hung out at a public library and one day the public library guy saved the life of a dog about to get run over by a passing car.
