So what do you guys think about this band? On their bandcamp page they are listed as being Unblack tyrakk.bandcamp.com/musicAnd the metal archives list them as Naardakh, Epic quests, War against evil, Light The lyrics appear to be very Christian except for the fact that they place the name Tyrakk in the place of Jesus. Then if you read the lyrics to the song "God's Riff Of Light" on the Project demo album I really kinda of wander about this band. What do you guys think? Sonically they are AWESOME but I need to know more about them lyrically, and of course talk to the band BEFORE giving them airplay.

He said the words "ass" and "bitches" on his Facebook page. ...and I also said the words "ass" and "bitches" here on this post.
Now that I've ruined some Christians listening to his (or my) music, I think I'll eat some ice cream when I get off of work.
Its kind of warm outside.

well I was mainly concerned about the use of Tyrakk being the hero when obviously all the rest of the songs gave indication of Jesus. He even described the death and resurrection and yet used another name so that is my main thing. And they yes the song lyrics in which it says: After his fight against Satan Tyrakk is partying for his Victory 'Cause The Beast was not fu**ed with a d**k But with the Power of God's Ultimate Riff of Light" is kind of disturbing for Christian lyrics. In the following song it seems very clear what is being talked about and he even uses satan but uses Tyrakk instead of Jesus The Devil’s rebirth Announced the Death Humans will die And Satan will reign Our hero, our savior Tyrakk will defeat the Beast Save the Kingdom of Naardakh And live in peace The Eternal Conflict Between the Good and the Evil Will end this day And Tyrakk will become the King But our hero, our savior Tyrakk will defeat the Beast Save the Kingdom of Naardakh And live in peace Lady Marnya, the most beautiful girl Will carry the Prince Only if Satan dies tonight Only if the Light shines tonight Satan killed Tyrakk Our hero, our savior is dead We can’t live now Satan will reign Anyway anyone have any thoughts on this? Not just the picking on me thought either

For starters, if someone feels convicted to not listen to something that's vulgar or for Christ, I completely respect that. I certainly don't understand it, and I really do think it is unnecessary, but again - I respect it.
...I myself, have noticed a decent amount of heavy bands that bash Satan. This "heavy metal" song is the first that comes to mind:
I know an ancient proverb says "The enemy of my enemy is my friend." I'm not saying Christians should necessarily embrace songs like this, but they shouldn't recoil from them as if they're made of hellfire either.
Realistically, its probably done to shock the shockers, but all in all - like metal should be - its just jolly good fun.
The majority of metal listeners aren't doing so to engage in spiritual warfare. Its purely entertainment.
I personally think the lyrics for Tyrakk are fine, but I'm having a hard time stomaching that drum machine and the guitars being too quiet in the mix and the vocals being too loud. The song structure is great, above average - but the presentation and artwork is kind of plplplplplplplpl.

Tom understood.
I got a response from the band explaining it.
"Hi, The band is not a Christian. But when I started the project, I never think about release an album. So when I named characters, I didn't search to be original. The God of Naardakh is not the Christian God.
To explain that (or fix this mistake) I'm working on the Naardakhian language, so "Satan" will see his name change.
Thanks for you support, if you have any question, I'll answer."
I actually found this band due to the fact that on bandcamp it was tagged as Unblack which now knowing this is inaccurate.

Ok found out more info on this band. It is a One man band by a Christian who is basically MAKING UP a God and A evil being in a fantasy story. I asked if it was then an allegory for Christianity but he said in no uncertain terms "NO because the god in this story is NOT the Christian God" That statement kinda made my skin crawl as it is very weird that a Christian would essentially make up a religion and a god and not have it be allegory for the one true God.

I could imagine writing a story about a different world ruled by an imperfect god. Making up a religion is different from creating a story.

If its fantasy, I don't see any similarities or differences as anything other than fiction.
