I've always had a strange relationship with Imperium Dekadenz's music. I "like" it. I do respect it; they have a lot of talent and never seemed to associate with "strange" ideologies. But it always seems like their music is just about to do something amazing, but never quite gets there.
Apparently they got signed to Napalm at some point (Napalm have Alestorm, who have been on the news), so clearly a lot of people disagree with me.

That's a pretty good description of the first three albums (I listened to them today). Dis Manibus is on the verge of "getting there" and in my opinion When We Are Forgotten is the point where they arrive. I've never gotten into Alestorm, but I do like a lot of the other bands on Napalm's roster.
