While this isn't necessarily cause for alarm, but I do think its a bit odd that since the birth of The Blackest Light, I'm the only person to post for 3 days. If anyone would like the official analytics since the board's birth, I'd be happy to post them.
I know life on life's terms happens, especially mother's day weekend, and I don't expect anyone to feel or be obligated to post here.
Does anyone have any ideas to get things in a constant motion? What does this place need to "liven up"? Again, not looking for a massive influx of posts, just something a little more than a trickle of new context here and there.
If anyone can think of anything that I can do (or stop doing?) that would help life on the board, I'd greatly appreciate it. In the meantime, I think I might devote some time to targeting unblack groups on facebook, inviting them to the forum. Maybe a larger family will make the gatherings more interesting?
If anyone has any questions, comments, ideas, suggestions - please let me know. Any input or help would be greatly appreciated. I've created a thread in the suggestion forum under the same name for further discussion.
Thank you,

I was getting concerned about this too. I think that inviting people from Facebook is a really good idea, as a bigger community would be better.
I'm just having a hard time coming up with anything to post about...now that Morgarten had their release, it seems like we're all just waiting for Frosthardr and Crimson Moonlight...

Would be cool, if some really new things would happen (even though new albums of these 'big' bands will be good for sure). Furthermore I'd be curious to hear some more opinions about that 'Christian metal' topic Tom started a few days ago.

Everyone here has at least two things in common. Black metal and faith. What else do we have in common? I'd like to see The Outskirts eventually catch fire. We don't have a food thread yet. (And everyone eats) Even though I know nothing about movies, I still know there's a new Star Wars coming out. Even the random thoughts thread is a completely open field. I'd be interested in doctrinal differences and why - to discuss in a friendly way. Random pictures and YouTube videos? Memes? I still have to make some Dramatic Dill Reincarnation songs once I'm sick of playing the piano. After today, I've got the next few days off. I'll start inviting others. I just don't want the lack of something or something currently going on to keep people at bay. Our newest member literally made a hello post and hasn't been back. I wonder why?

I've been slammed at work and busy handling drama over at CMR which has taken up much of my forum time... Will try to post more. But as with CW, I guess I just don't have much to say?

No one should feel obligated or forced to post here. I totally get the lack of time. If I posted whenever I was on my PC only, I'd rarely have the time...
...but I spent as much time as I did on getting Tapatalk setup because I like to have my Christian metal family in my pocket and can respond on the fly.
If anyone has questions on that smart phone app, please let me know. It really breaks the PC chains.

As for bukken only making a hello post and then leaving, I don't really know why that is. If you look at the registered members, many of them have very few or zero posts. It was the same way back at BHF. I don't get it.

I'm registered go quite a few metal forums that I made just one post and never went back - more or less to just advertise my music. Some of those had post restrictions (had to reply to X number of threads before allowed to create a new topic) and I just left without posting.
...but I don't understand signing up for a forum with complete access and then making no posts.

Since my Facebook doesn't allow messages (though I was able to message Cradle of God, but no one else?) I actually reached out to quite a few people this morning. I sent personal e-mails to every "trusted store" we have, inviting them here. Also sent invites to a few bands talked about here - Spätregen, Cradle of God, Bedeiah, Morgarten, Epta Astera - either through their e-mail or public comments on their YouTube channel videos.
The "selling" point for all invites was that their service/art/etc. was already discussed here. ...and of course, we'd love to have them in our community!
I don't expect everyone to join, but I hope at least a few consider it, or at least post as guests every once in a while.

The forum has been a lot more active lately. This was a good idea, Thomas.

I checked the analytics for the forum. Some good trends it looks like to me! For the past 31 days:
5 new members have joined. 32 new threads have been created (that's an average of over 1 new topic a day) 441 posts were made. (that's an average of over 14 posts a day) The highest post count was July 18th - 39 new posts were made.
I might be biased, but we've got a nice and communicative community here!
