I'm taking this announcement from SkyBurnsBlack Records. (great charity concept)
United We Skate Benefit Compilation Volumes 1 through 5 is released! Thumper Punk Records and SkyBurnsBlack Records are pleased to announce the release of the “United We Skate Benefit Compilation”, a FIVE volume compilation featuring songs donated by 113 bands to raise money for two skateboarding ministries. The volumes are broken down by genre, and feature Punk, Hardcore, Metal and everything in between. All proceeds to benefit skateboarding ministries at the Roots of Hope ministry in Jaco, Costa Rica (run by Aaron “Liberty” Wells of the band True Liberty), and the chapter of Christian Skaters International in Paarl, South Africa (run by Dave Emmerson of the band The Old-timers). Each volume can be independently purchased as digital downloads or in CD format, with discounts for purchases of the entire five volume compilation, from the Thumper Punk Records and SkyBurnsBlack Records webstores. Digital versions are available through iTunes, AmazonMP3 and the usual suspects. All praise and glory to Him.

Sorry to post here as an guest. I dont think I belong in here. Consider I'm not a fan of Black Metal. The United We Skate Benefit Compilations I mentioned in the post above contain lots of Christian Black Metal bands. Along with Hardcore and Punk bands.
Cheers

I moved this to its own thread because it deserves it.
Skater, you're more than welcome to register to post here and make any announcements like this. Its fine if you don't have a taste for (Christian) black metal, we have other music forums and the off topic (The Outskirts) forum could always use someone to regularly blow it up.
Thank you,

I'm so stoked to see this come to fruition! I gotta admit, I feel somewhat attached to this project. Joshua had asked if I could help get the word out and I'm really excited to see a few bands' names on there that I had suggested they participate. Cash is a little tight at the moment, but I do plan on purchasing the 5-CD complete set.

I've never explored much of mauce.nl, but it looks like a good Christian resource blog. ....except for the article about the band Pentagram. HAHA!!!

^I haven't seen the Pentagram article, but it does have its place in Christian metal history... albeit somewhat indirectly. Victor Griffin was a member until he found Christ and left to start Place Of Skulls. But in more recent years he's rejoined Pentagram and from what I've read about it, Mr. Griffin joined with the agreement that there would be no satanic/evil stuff anymore. I haven't looked much into it, but I'm a huge fan of Place Of Skulls.
