Found these guys the other day. Clearly following in the footsteps of Woods of Ypres. Some fantastic stuff. They recently released a split, and their half was breath taking. They close the split out with a cover of a song from one of the Silent Hill games, which I thought was pretty cool. altarsofgrief.bandcamp.com/Thoughts?

The clean vocals definitely remind me of Woods of Ypress. ...that band didn't have the speed or black elements like these guys do. I'd invest my time listening to this...

The first two Woods of Ypres albums had a lot of black metal elements, and in my opinion, this honestly seems like if The Pursuit of the Sun and Allure of the Earth was picked up by another band and continued further with maturity.

I got to be honest, my only experience with YoP was "I was buried, Mount Pleasant Cemetery, alone and unceremoniously" and streaming that album from YouTube a time or two.
I'll have to check out their older releases.

Just listened to "In Dying Light". Sounds good, quite "catchy" song.
