ToP- Tetragrammaton Elgibbor- roots of blood lengsel- Solace Zao- Liberate A hill- infinit titanic immortal Silencer- Death Pierce me some christian metal i should've had a long time ago.. but im really glad i bought these, also the last one is quite the odd ball of the bunch and a little fcked up, discovered it like a week ago and was immediately hooked, maybe theres something wrong with my head but music that sounds like it comes from the deepest pits of mental hell gives me a great sense of peace and calmness unlike more melodic and pretty classical music which ironically makes me feel even worse sometimes, does anyone else dig this album? just curious

That Lengsel is legendary as well as the AHTDU & ToP and you can't go wrong with Elgibbor. It's been a while since I listened to Zao and I usually just listen to their first two albums. I hadn't heard of Silencer but I sampled a couple songs and I'm assuming the vocals are supposed to be the standout feature? The vocals remind me a lot of Evroklidon actually, which is one of my favorite Christian black metal releases. However, the Silencer is... just a little more... theatrical... lol. It's interesting for sure.

I hadn't heard of Silencer but I sampled a couple songs and I'm assuming the vocals are supposed to be the standout feature? ahaha yeah the vocals are VERY hit or miss, some parts were ridiculous but then there were some that gave me chills (and i listened to this after hearing all the crazy stories), Nattramn really dances on a thin line between disturbing and comedic, but it didn't bother me at all, it's actually similiar to dictus te necare in some ways, which is prob why i like it Nice purchases! That Lengsel is legendary as well as the AHTDU & ToP and you can't go wrong with Elgibbor. It's been a while since I listened to Zao and I usually just listen to their first two albums. i freaking love Zao!, even though this is "metalcore" i find it (liberate) blacker than most black metal both musically and Lyrcially, btw which is your favorite elgibbor release? at first i really wanted to buy path of suffering since i think that was his best, but it wasn't available, so i got this one.

1) You do realize Silencer isn't Christian, right? 2) Personally my favorite Elgibbor album is "War".

You do realize Silencer isn't Christian, right? sorry about that, for some reason i thought it wasnt a strictly christian purchase thread, but i won't include non-christian purchases here anymore

for some reason i thought it wasnt a strictly christian purchase thread It isn't. I just got confused a bit - you said "some christian metal i should've had a long time ago" and I misinterpreted that statement a bit. Sorry!

btw which is your favorite elgibbor release? I am no expert on Elgibbor because I can't seem to keep up with all of the releases. That being said, I do own a few Elgibbor CD's and my favorite (that I own) is probably Soterion Apollumi Hamartia. But honestly, like I said you can't go wrong with Elgibbor because Fire seems to follow the philosophy of 'quality through consistency' with that project (or at least it seems that way to me). Katumus and Fire Throne are probably my favorite Fire projects though.

The label is out of stock now so I figured I better snatch it up from eBay before it gets super rare. Amazing release.

Fire Throne - Day of Darkness and Blackness
Specifically, this is the Son of Man Records, 200 copies edition! Over time, Fire Throne's album has grown on me and I was considering getting it anyway, but when this went up for sale, I had to get this version! It's more KvLt, it's historical, it's just awesome!

Some time ago: Weyes Blood - Titanic rising (Strange kind of chamber pop. Like from an alternate version of the 70s...)
Yesterday: Helloween - Walls of Jericho (Melodic speed metal classic. After having read something about Helloween here on the board, I noticed that I shamefully never cared to listen to some of their music. Changed that and ordered before mentioned album, seeing that I really liked it)

The Red Eye of Sauron (Single) The Chamber of Mazarbul (EP) Stone of the Hapless (EP) Battle at the Bridge of Khazad-dûm (Single) The Lonely Mountain (EP)
...basically all they put out.

Eternal Fire - Eternal Winter... EEE version! According to one of the owners of EEE Recordings, "probably less than 5 copies" of this thing actually exist!! The best part is, this has tracks that aren't on any of the versions! I'm VERY excited about this!

I picked up Antestor's Martyrium for 13 bucks. Apparently it runs for 200 on Discogs.
I also got Crimson Moonlight's Veil of Remembrance for 10 CENTS. I looked online and you can't find this CD anywhere.
The store that I got these from has had a strange amount of Christian (black) metal over the years. I also got a Messiah Prophet CD for 10 cents today, and on an earlier visit I once passed over an Armageddon Holocaust CD.

Update: I cracked the front cover of the $200 of the Antestor CD! Fortunately, I was able to swap it out with another CD's cover (sorry State Champs). I may need to do this with the Crimson Moonlight CD as well, since it was cracked when I bought it

I recently discovered this project and stumbled on your post around the same time. This is definitely one of the more enjoyable finds of recent months. The energy and sound are so great. I think one of the MA reviewers described the first track as a riff you couldn't get out of your head, and that's true! One of the main associations I had for it, especially with the second track, was the Eagles of Death Metal. It's got that same kind of high energy (e.g., The Hives) and tone of garage rock and punk, but in black metal. I'm really enjoying this. (Not loving the black sun imagery on the cover. )

The "Black Sun" would be an arrangement of Sig-runes, which this strange esoteric looking wheel is not. (The guy seems to like to use runes, though. I was thinking about buying a WÖ-Shirt, but decided against because the heavy usage of runes on it, because runes are problematic in Germany and I did not want to be mistaken for either a nazi or one of these neopagan people)

The version I was listening to doesn't have the snake in the middle, which made the resemblance stronger. (Sorry to all for derailing this thread . . .)

How's this for a haul?
