Anyone use Nicotine in one form or another? March 19th 2007 was the last time I had a cigarette. My experience with chew was only a handful of times being whiskey drunk, saying "I don't get it" while swallowing the wad of chew and then hurling minutes later. Never got into snuff. It seemed old timey and just weird.
I was Nicotine free for a long time, but I'd started using lozenges again for several reasons. For one, I've been researching IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome) and Crohn's Disease because I think I might have one of those or something similar. On a scale of 1 to 100 with 1 being I got nothing and 100 being a movement, I go from 1 to 97 in seconds. I'm sure the ulcer doesn't help either.
...now that I've grossed everyone else, I've read studies on how Nicotine helps that sort of thing. I don't know if its a placebo, but it seems to be working.
The other reason is because I enjoy a caffeine zoom, but caffeine eventually crashes me and makes me jittery if I have too much of it. The nicotine lozenge doesn't last anywhere near as long, doesn't make me jittery.
I don't use it daily, its more like 1 lozenge 2-3 days a week, TOPS. Any more than that, I'd feel too dizzy.

Voted no. I smoked for over ten years and quit cold turkey when I requested divine intervention. Picked up vaping for a little while but ended up quitting that too. Don't plan on looking back. Interesting that it may be helping your medical condition, though.

Cigarette smoke I find to be absolutely disgusting. Chewing is pretty gross too but that I don't find as offensive.
I've tried those little tea-bag things you put in your lip (whatever they're called?) a couple times. I definitely felt the buzz as I have obviously not built up any tolerance to the stuff. That was interesting I guess but I didn't feel the need to continue with them. I'm not morally opposed to it, it's just that most tobacco products I find really quite disgusting! Also as with caffeine, I don't like being dependent on any substance that I don't need to be.

Heh. I made this post before I knew I had cancer. The last several weeks I've been using nicotine in my vaporizer (with the CBD oil) instead of just the lozenges. I'd always used the CBD with a clove oil, but the clove oil I've been buying now has nicotine in it. The stuff is cheap though and - even if I filled my vape-tank every day, (which I don't) the $6 bottle still lasts over a month. (and the stuff with nicotine is the same price as the stuff without for some strange reason) Yeah, its been more of a daily thing with that, but again - I notice improvements with my restroom habits (crapalanche in the morning) vs. days where I forget to use it. (crapalanche all day) I'll be honest, I do enjoy vaping it. Its like breathing a strong mint and has this "refreshing" feeling that's kind of hard to describe...

I've never smoked. I don't plan to start - cigarettes have all kinds of disgusting things in them, and cigarette smoke smells awful. I had a dream a few years ago about becoming addicted to cigarettes. I only had one cigarette; in fact, I may not have even finished it, but I was already craving more. I tried to describe it to a relative who smokes, and they told me that what I felt during that dream was basically accurate, and that completely sealed the deal on nicotine (in any form) for me, if the other things hadn't already.
Addiction also creates an unnecessary financial expense.

According to studies, there's a HUGE difference between nicotine from tobacco, and nicotine use itself. Smoking cigarettes =/= using nicotine Cigarettes/tobacco contain a lot of carcinogens that 1) are extremely unhealthy 2) act as "jet fuel" to the nicotine and THAT creates the addiction - not just the nicotine itself. The difference is comparable to chewing on coca leaves versus snorting a line of cocaine. The most I ever smoked was 10 cigarettes a day and after I quit, I couldn't STAND the smell of cigarettes. (whether as second hand smoke or on people's clothes) I've even thrown up before being nauseous and smelling that. Smoking makes a nasty film over everything too. Walls. Windshields. Computer screens. Its obvious why a lot of smokers do not like using a vaporizer. Its missing the toxins/propellants/addiction. Like a coke addict trying to chew coca leaves - its going to do NOTHING. If you look online, its polar opposites on how people feel about vaping. Some people say its WAY more harmful than smoking, (contains 15% more formaldehyde than cigarettes, etc.) which isn't the slightest bit true. (some vapes can be turned that high, but you'd scorch your lungs before you'd want to breath anywhere near that level) Other people say that its completely harmless as its "just vapor" from flavored oils, but I'd say that's probably not completely true either. (oils are vegetable glycerin based, like stage show fog machines, they at LEAST desiccate (dry out) your mouth and throat. No long term effects have been proven.) Here's the way I look at it. I started using nicotine (and continue to use it) because it really does help with management of a cancer symptom I have. (Nicotine has been proven to promote motility - that helps with nausea and bowel movements) Its undoubtedly has adverse effects, but so do a lot of things in life. Not exercising. Eating red meat. (which I do grill a lot of steaks. I would have figured my doctors have put me on a strict diet, but ALL of them have said "Please eat whatever you want." They're probably saying that because I've already lost 20lbs not even trying to.) Point is, I have no interest in using something that I cannot control / moderate, or something that creates consequences - regardless of what that is. (I love spicy food, but I'm not addicted - obviously I stopped when it started causing me gastrointestinal problems) Apart from my cancer, all my health stats check out great. Blood pressure is almost always 116/67. Sometimes that bottom number might be in the low 70's. Thank you for reading my ramble.

Another necrothread.
I've been staying pretty constant with the 18mg vape oils. (which is high, considering 1 cigarette has 2mg of Nicotine) I've let some people try my pen, and their reaction is usually [roar] and they stop mid drag because its "too hot".
I'm very particular in having a clean rig. I re-wick the thing every couple days.
Regarding cost, well.... I haven't even been considering that lately. My wife (for whatever reason) will let me add oils to the grocery list, so, she's absolutely enabling me to use it. (apparently, she doesn't mind me vaping)

Tried smoking a few times, did´t like the taste of it. Also the smoke always irritated my eyes so never became a habit. Although, I also tried "shisha" and it was "better" but still not something for me. I´m more into good food ^_^

Necrothread complete. After 3 years of using the same vape pen, I decided to bite the bullet for a better rig. What's prevented me from doing this until now, was all these mods needing coils replaced. This pen, I could re-wick the coils myself to save money. (since buying coils instead of replacing the wick myself would cost me an extra $10 a month) What I got now, coils are a thing of the past. I dig it.

I vaped a little bit in college, only because I had roommates who vaped. I decided it was stupid to vape if I wasn't trying to smoke. When I told my cousin years later that I had vaped and then quit, he told me "You just ain't had that good Nic."

I would lump vaping into the same category as lottery tickets. No way would I ever recommend that someone **needs** to do it, or **should** try it or do it.... ...but if you already do it, and like it enough to waste money on it, have at it.
