So I've been putting something off. I hadn't played my acoustic guitar in YEARS and have been meaning to get back into it. I just spent the last few weeks growing my fingernails back out on my right had and my brother gave me the hookup for some really nice strings. Finally today, I sat down with my guitar... BUT I wanted to do something different. Normally all the acoustic guitar stuff I've done was under standard tuning. I decided to mix it up and challenge myself (of course after not playing for years) by just changing the tuning. Instead of E-A-D-G-B-E, I switched to my custom tuning I do for Orationem / Ankou Awaits. (Which is C#, E, A, C#, E, C#) After figuring out all new chords (which are kind of weird) and fret placement and putting together something that resembled a song, I decided to record it and see if it sounded good. I was surprised at how much it was like riding a bike. You guys are more than welcome to tell me what you thought of it, what it needs or say nothing. Just make sure you enjoy it, ok? www.eversoul.net/acoustic1.mp3Not going to make a project out of this. Just having fun. Feel free to post any acoustic fun of your own!

Sounds nice, Thomas! I always like the sound of the acoustic guitar. Though I don't have one so I can't properly contribute any audio. Though I do have an electric guitar that's not plugged in right now, and even better - acoustic guitar sounds on the keyboard!

Thanks! I've got some very convincing acoustic guitar sound(s) in my Korg Legacy edition pack - even moreso because I can layer sounds. You know, I'm actually curious how close someone could emulate a lonely guitar sound from a keyboard... I've never tried it myself.
