I have an Asus laptop I got a few years ago and have been pretty happy with it! No real issues. Sometimes even though it's plugged in, it stops charging. I just unplug it for a while and plug it back in and it charges again. Otherwise, it's worked great!

Ended up getting a privately refurbished HP EliteBook from an eBay seller called "The Good Computer Guy." The value on this laptop was insane. $249.00 free shipping and it has 8GB RAM, 500GB 7200 RPM HD, 2.6ghz Intel i5 processor. I was leery about buying such a good machine at such a cheap price but dude had nearly 7,000 feedback on eBay and 99.7%+ positive so I took a gamble. The OS was in French at first which was tricky to navigate and change to English but once I got it changed the notebook is running very smoothly so far. Highly recommend this seller, prices are insane! I think he gets computers from businesses that go under or something because I've seen some of his auctions will be for a lot of 15+ laptops at a time. He has a ton of products, probably a tech geek that does quick refurbishes himself. Here's his website: www.thegoodcomputerguy.com
