Probably 3/4ths of the forum scatters just from the name of this band alone. For those of us who don't have a conviction to this sort of thing, this is some very excellent quality black metal. Nice raw production and atmosphere. Kind of basic, but not too basic.
Been jamming this album this afternoon.
Anyone else like this band?

hell yeaaaaaah.
I don't know how "basic" i'd call most of their music though, this album posted is a lot simpler musically than their previous ones...but the previous ones are complex as fuck. I actually learned to play inverted chords from a satanic warmaster song.

...quite a lot of "tasteful" split releases, so: no. From my point of view the music isn't anything to write home about either way. But a lot of folks enjoy it, so he's probably doin it right...

I actually learned to play inverted chords from a satanic warmaster song. Pretty much the only stuff I've heard of them is the newer stuff. I certainly don't be "basic" as a negative term. ...what complex tracks are out there? As far as inverted power chords, I discovered them back in 2001. I would say that it wasn't listening to something in particular that made me discover it, but I knew they were there from the minor sounds bands were producing. It only took me 10 years to figure out that custom tuning my guitar to play inverted as its open strum, that I was able to make even darker sounds when I explored with those new sets of chords...
