I posted this on CMR too but for those of you who don't "double dip" hahahaha... here's some info on the future of Metal Helm and apparel. Jeremy posted this on Facebook today: While of course I'm totally stoked for whatever God has in store for Jeremy and Metal Helm in the future, I'm definitely saddened that Metal Helm will no longer be carrying clothing! Many of my most favorite shirts have come from MH. So if you're hoping to get some sweet new shirts from MH, you better do it soon!!!

Ah, that is sad. I'm not much of a metal shirt guy and I've never bought any of MH's shirts, but it's still sad to see Jeremy go.

This is sad indeed. I don't do a whole lot of metal shirts but in the back of my mind I kind of always felt like I might one day buy more and it was a comfort knowing MH would have what I wanted. Very sad, but Jeremy always seemed like a cool guy so I wish him the best and I'm sure God has more things for him to do in other areas of his life.
I wish I had more notice though. I'm not sure I can buy 10-20 shirts "real quick" lol... I may just not worry about t-shirts right now and cross that bridge some time down the road. Maybe there will be another source of shirts by then.

I'm not surprised - and him stopping shirt production is just a smart business decision on his part. I'm saying this because any person (not just a label or band) is just one google search away from designing their own single-press shirt for less money than what he's charging.

We will be doing some shirts for our bands and maybe some others. We do not have a printer. So we order them and they are screen printed. So a big issue will be overhead. So we will take steps lightly. As support for us still is still needed. Were just barely surviving ourselves. Were doing our best to bring u future releases.

Barely surviving is still surviving. Its got to be tough on stores because you're reliant on merchandise/bands to keep you afloat... ...whereas myself, as a musician, I would still make music even if it didn't sell (ended up losing money from it) because... well, that's what I do. Realistically, since my wife and I work, any "extra" (and that's what it is) I make from music, I put back into the scene. I'd still rather work with a small independent store/label than a corporate one. Pavment Music was willing to release Ankou Awaits - Sobrwydd a Disgyblaeth through a Sony digital distribution, if I was willing to cough up over 3 grand in promotion/marketing/distribution costs. Forget that! I'd rather stick with the smaller labels. I know this applies to bigger bands, but according to this article, for every $1000 of music sold, the artist only gets $23.40 www.theroot.com/articles/culture/2010/07/the_root_investigates_who_really_gets_paid_in_the_music_industry.html?GT1=38002

I shouldn't say barely surviving. As we recoup about 1/2 of the funds back from each release. Music is something i need to have. Even losing money. Im just doing as God had said for me to do We will continue until we cant make it anymore. Support has been getting better for us. Which has helped keep us afloat. And if we ever made any money it will for sure go to furthering the ministry. And we are very appreciative of the support we have gotten and continue to get. We love u all. And want to continue to bring u more in the future God bless u all
