I just ordered An Angel's Requiem and Songs Of Hope And Sorrow by a German one-man band called Far Beyond. A friend had told me about them a while ago but I finally just checked 'em out and really like them a lot!

They are very good. One of their albums is up for free on the bands website. The other one I believe is on itunes

Right on! Glad to hear someone else who knows them. (Xenonlion from CMR and I are quite good friends and she turned me onto them.) I ordered their two CDs from Germany and Australia. Their latest EP is free to download on MP3 from their website, and at a minimal price for higher quality from their Bandcamp. I'm really looking forward to them coming in!

I really like this band although they don't consider themselves a christian band. I believe the singer has some part in Ecthirion but can't remember for sure.

I did not know that! Thanks. I just checked the Facebook and saw this in response to someone who said "GOD BLESS THIS UNBLACK METAL BAND 777 !!!!!" I'll move it to the other section.

I got Songs Of Hope And Sorrow in the mail yesterday. I've listened to it once through and really enjoy it! I'm looking forward to getting the full-length. However, I am super frustrated because instead of the official digi-pack release I thought I was buying... it turned out to be one of those cheap Amazon.com print-on-demand CDs... I ordered it all the way from Australia on eBay but if I wanted the Amazon one, I could've ordered it directly from them, immediately got the digital download, and received the CD much sooner... not to mention pay 1/3 the price. Grr...

Ah man, triple-post... Well they said they'd refund me so I sent it back off in the mail today. Quite frustrating but oh well... I just bought the digital files off of Far Beyond's Bandcamp so at least I own them legitimately. Been cranking it a lot though and really enjoying it!

Hahaha daaaaaaaang, quadruple post! [puke] Oh well, y'all will survive. From Far Beyond's Facebook page, posted 10 days ago: Finally! Music for new full-length album is finished! Last post from 2014. Last release in 2011 (debut album from Euphoreon: euphoreon.bandcamp.com/). Last Far Beyond release "Songs of Hope and Sorrow" in 2009 (https://farbeyond.bandcamp.com/). Some considered the project dead and there were times I was not sure if I will ever get this album done someday. But the day has come and I'm very, very happy about it. What you can see is the final mixdown of the master files. Yes, the music is finished. And so is the artwork which is currently being prepared for printing. It was done by Felipe Machado Franco (http://finalfrontier.thunderblast.net/) and I hope you will like it as much as I do! A release date is not decided yet, but this time you can be sure: it will be 2016. More infos soon!

Yeah I'm really excited to hear it! For some reason I find myself very often in the mood to listen to Far Beyond and one album and one EP just aren't enough! I hope it comes out soon.

Looks awesome! ...its odd to me that there's not even a preview of the album online. (unless that last.fm page is legit, but I can't listen to it because I don't have a last.fm account)
I'd really like to hear before I buy, but chances are... I'll probably still buy it.

Pre-order is up on bandcamp with one track off the new album. Sounds awesome!
I'd link it, but I don't know how.

I'd link it, but I don't know how. You can just copy and paste the URL into your post and the forum will automatically hyperlink it so it'll take you to that site when you click on it. The forum will also automatically embed YouTube videos so you don't have to mess with the [video][/video] code.

I'd link it, but I don't know how. As CW said, just copying/pasting works fine. But if you want it to have different text than the URL, use the "Link" button (the world with a piece of paper in front of it) and just copy/paste the link and type what you want to say in there.

Oh no! They pulled a Wintersun! (exchanged "extreme" elements for "epic" ones)
What a bummer!

Be sure to check your links though. The "this" link is blank. That link button is bad news - it does an HTML style "a href" code, which can't be read by Tapatalk. I feel like I miss so much of NI's posts because I can't check his links until I get to a PC, which isn't anywhere near as often as the phone in my pocket. Quick coding lesson guys, URL tags aren't hard and they work like a dream. The format is this. [url=your link]text[/url] or [url=your link][img]image URL[/img][/url] So in other words, this [url=http://www.orationem.com/]Check out Orationem![/url] makes this: Check out Orationem! This: [url=http://www.orationem.com/][img]http://www.orationem.com/o3propress.jpg[/img][/url] turns into this

. I feel like I miss so much of NI's posts I don't use that link thing though, I've manually typed the [ url= ][ /url] tags ever since the first time you brought it up - shouldn't my links work now?

It's probably not you then. It's either me or Tapatalk.

Really? It just takes me back to this same thread. In my review master list, I've been using the link button (looks like the Earth with a piece of paper next to it) to make the text link to the reviews. It works fine for me, and I hope it works for everyone else...

Oh, I thought that maybe that was intentional... It's hyperlinked fine but just opens another tab of this page for me.
I use that button too and haven't had any complaints haha!

I fixed the link and did both the hyperlink and the URL tags as Thomas suggested. I don't know why the hyperlink took one back to the TBL page
