As you guys may have noticed I have not been as active on here as I previously was. This has to do with a strained relationship with God. I have not been to church or cracked open my Bible in quite some time (although I intend to go to evening worship tonight). I have returned to some of my old ways, and really want to repent but lack the strength. I have let the world come before Him. I look for reasons to stray. I am more focused on pleasing others than my Creator. I find it so hard to purge myself of my hatred. It is near impossible for me to love. Others, myself, or God. I am not asking for pity, just that I can by His power refocus my entire being and return to his open arms without reservation.

I can relate to what you're saying. The world really has a way of knocking the wind out of our sails, doesn't it? The devil is relentless, but he is also nearly powerless - the very name of Jesus sends him away. The very fact that you're asking for prayer and that you acknowledge your situation as a problem is good. Watch for things God puts into your life, and be prepared to make a couple internal, and probably quite tough, decisions that will go against the way you've been doing things lately.
But you will not regret making them.
Edit: And I'm praying as well.

How are you doing? Its easy to let you spiritual life starve out. The only suggestion I can give is try to set aside some time each day to feed your spirit by reading the Word. Even if its just on a lunch break at work. It may not seem like a big deal but just as your body grows when you eat food, your spirit grows when its nurtured by the Word of God.
I've always felt that's a key to overcoming the world at times, taking time to feed your spirit, so it has the strength to overcome
