Hey guys. I want to walk with God in all aspects of my life and let my actions point to him. Unfortunately workplace "politics" and other factors have really been affecting my attitude the past few months. I do and say things that really hurt my relationship with Christ and does anything BUT show those around me what the Christian life is about. I have been praying for either strength or guidance to a new career path in life. If you guys could remember me in your prayers I would appreciate it! I do not like to person I am at work, and want to be stronger.

Sorry to hear about the working grind bringing you down. You'll be in my thoughts and prayers.
I've had a few "gloom and doom" days at work, where I'm not as positive as I could be. (Whether or not it shows, doesn't matter - I know I'm not being positive.) That being said, I'd also recommend some footwork with your faith.
For me, its amazing how a problem shared is half repaired - even just talking about it is healing. My coworkers (and myself) are all in the same boat, so its easy to make a good attitude contagious.
Its either that or go insane!

Praying! Working in a stressful and non-Christian environment can be really challenging for sure. As Thomas was saying, maybe you could seek to work through some of it with your other coworkers (who I assume are under some of the same politics/junk you are?). I dunno, just a thought!

I could use some prayer regarding my job. Its amazing how in a few weeks, its gone from something I love to I'm about to lose my mind...
I'm tasked with having to complete way too many things at once. I can only spin so many plates at once and they keep giving them to me. I'm salary, so all extra work that I complete (in all the extra hours I work) only lines the pockets of the owners. Insane INSANE customers trying to sue me personally, not the company I'm representing.
I'm convinced that IT put a virus on my personal PC because I was "rude" to them.
I swear, I need some days off. This month has sucked.

Praying for you bro. I too am salaried, and know how companies take advantage of that.

Insane INSANE customers trying to sue me personally, not the company I'm representing. I'm convinced that IT put a virus on my personal PC because I was "rude" to them. I swear, I need some days off. This month has sucked. Things come to a head at work. Thursday, I walked by my boss's boss's office (the director), we did our typical "Hi" "Hi" "How are you?" "Good". ...when I got back to my desk, I messaged her saying that I lied - I'm not ok and we need to talk. We both set aside our piles and I talked. My point was, I've been doing this job for a few years and I mentioned how much it has changed. I went from being able to work full time to meet my requirements, with extra hours and working at home to meet the bonus requirements... ...to working extra hours and working at home to not even meet my minimum requirements. I don't like being setup to fail. I don't like how I have way more work than any 1 person should. Apart from smoothing things over with IT, nothing is different with what I quoted. I asked my best friend if he needs help at work, and he said he could get me in the door quick... Long story short, I was offered an "admin" position. Its a cut in pay, but I WON'T have to work at home. I WON'T be salary so I'll be paid for the work I do. I won't have half the shit to do that I did as a supervisor and I get a much better schedule. Long story long, I don't care about $4 less an hour (especially since my soon to be wife has decent wages as a nurse) if I get to keep my sanity. Prayer is still very much so welcome.

Yes they are. Thank you for the prayer - you guys are the best!
I actually stepped down from my management position deliberately and took an admin role instead. I have a reasonable workload now, its more task oriented rather than trying to herd people and its by the hour rather than salary. (So I get paid for what I work)
It is less money I'm bringing home, but totally worth it for zero BS. Also, in a few months, I'm getting married to someone who's a head nurse at a hospital so I don't need to let my ulcer get worse for a few more grand a year when she's bringing in a LOT more than that.
That and there's been a conclusion to what was mentioned in the "Ruined by Honesty" thread in the spirit of anonymity thread so....
Pleasant work environment. Manageable and enjoyable tasks. Its all good!!

A lot has happened work-wise in the past week or so. I got this random job offer (I wasn't looking, they found me) and asked for more information.
To make the story really short, I'm resigning from my current job and working for this new company.
High(er) salary and I can work entirely from home.
My house will be spotless. ...and I'll probably record more music.

I also am in a high-stress, salaried position. I understand how you feel to that end. every 60 days or so I am "oncall" for a week and thats when salary begins to really stink the most. It pretty much means no sleep for a week..

I think one thing that made me bail from upper management with the job I'm resigning from, is I did something that my former boss (who also left) told me never to do....
She said for those heavy work weeks, never calculate how much you're making an hour... which of course I did and that fueled me to focus on a high end hourly position there.
Salary BLOWS for a 70 hour work week - doesn't matter how much I'm making either, because in my mind, I'm losing money to work more and still get base pay.
