Hey, just thought I would give you guys a heads up and let you know about this.
As I mentioned in another thread in the trading section, I'm selling my copy of Antestor - The Defeat of Satan because I want to buy a new cell phone. Well, the phone I'm wanting is the OnePlus 3 (http://www.oneplus.net). Well, the thing is, I've been wanting to combine my phone and iPod for a while because they take up two spaces in my pocket and is inconvenient to manage them separately. Problem is, the OnePlus 3 only has 64 GB of storage space with NO MICRO SD SLOT! It is a beast of a phone, a true powerhouse for the price, but they did not include a micro SD slot. SO I have decided that I will start storing my music in a cloud system and just stream it to my phone (when I get it) so as to not take up storage space. I'm switching cellphone providers also to get better coverage/signal (Sprint towers are not the best around here).
Anyway, the point is, I discovered during my research that Google Play offers absolutely FREE cloud storage/streaming service for your personal music collection (yes, if you can click it on your hard drive you can upload it, at least mp3 I haven't tried FLAC or anything), 50,000 SONGS WORTH!!!
Now if you look up possibilities for storing/streaming your own personally ripped 320kb/s mp3's you will find that it's rare to find such large storage for FREE. I mean, my entire collection of Christian metal/hiphop/pop/rock/fewsecular music was only about 7,000 songs. 50,000 is a lot. I've spent the last 36 hours uploading my entire collection and now it's backed up on the cloud. Yep, that's right, you can even download it back onto different computers/devices too from Google Play, ALL FOR FREE. Google really does it right, sometimes. And since it's Google, I don't imagine having any trouble with the streaming speed/service from the Google Play App I'll put on my phone.
