Seems it was uploaded by an NSBM channel...
Plus, according to MA, Xasthur is split up...meaning there shouldn't be any new music. I'm with Thomas. This can't be real.

Ah he brought it back as an acoustic project. A friend of mine knows him and can confirm this.

plus look at what's on Metal Archives
Malefic decided to end Xasthur in 2010 and formed an acoustic/dark folk project called Nocturnal Poisoning. At the time, Malefic stated that it was a different band. In 2015, he changed the name of that band to Xasthur and stated "I've returned to the name again since early 2015, it’ll stay that way, but the ‘black metal’ Xasthur is definitely over."

I love it. I totally get it. Xasthur unplugged is just a phenomenal idea.

Yeah, well, Malefic's a weird dude. I'm liking that he's branching out with an acoustic idea.
Fauna's a name I've heard of more than experienced, although I'm sure I've heard something.
Cascadian BM, right?

I've said it before, worth saying again. I never understood projects that did this. Now everyone looking for his DSBM will have country to sift through. Everyone wanting country will have the DSBM to sift through. What a cluster. LOL

yeah.... he should have sticked to using his other project's name and shouldn't have come back to the name Xasthur

Therein lies the beauty of the troll, haha. he should have sticked to using his other project's name and shouldn't have come back to the name Xasthur It's because nobody knows Scott Connor apart from Xasthur, and Nocturnal Poisoning wouldn't achieve the effect of having people understand that "this is The Artist Formerly Known As Xasthur."

Therein lies the beauty of the troll, haha. To me, it would just feel like stepping in the same poop after setting a bag of it on fire outside someone's door. LOL

I'm actually listning to Nocturnal Poisoning now, I'm enjoying it a lot.
I'm going to be keeping track of the new Xasthur direction. Xasthur was pretty much my introduction into dsbm back in 2007-ish. It's difficult to describe what it means to me that someone who has been a huge influence on my own music is going in this direction as well.
It's like the dawn of a new age... lol
